The first quote is from a video I downloaded:

LUCY LAWLESS Interview - Where Are They Now - (Australian TV Show)

The next two quotes come from the DVD Director's Cut of "A Friend In Need" . . . . If you go into the chapter selections, I believe it's number 4. It's where Xena and Akemi are walking in the snow and Akemi places a piece of paper in some type of bird feeder looking thing. Be sure to have the commentary turned on.

Correction:

It's Scene Selection # 3 - Katana Sword ... And part of the conversations starts at the very end of # 2. So, after clicking on # 3, just back up the clip a wee bit into # 2 and that should get you the whole part of the conversation.

You're very welcome.... And I just want to add that I'm not trying to prove they can't be viewed as a couple ... it's only to show I have the right to my non-texter view. I'm a firm believer in everyone is right in their view of the texts that did or didn't go on. [image]

Sweet, sweet pic, Scappy. What soulful eyes!

Here's my new favorite website (besides Whoosh, of course, silly!) -

www.stuffonmycat.com

Warning: don't check it at work. I laughed so hard, folks were peeking in to check on me!

SIREN!!
I only got through the first ten pages of that site... don't you think I'll stop there.... had to take a break and forward that on to people. Freaking hilarious; the title of it says it all.
LMAO

p.s. Do you have to be a cat lover to get it? One friend did not find it so amusing, so I wonder.

You know, Lo, you may be right. Those photos may be charming to cat lovers only. Here's a test.
If you don't find the photo below to be absolutely laugh-out-loud funny (as I did), you probably won't be charmed by the rest of the site, either. Heeeeeeere's Baxter!

My wanderful board but never boring mum, is anyone still giving you grief over that? Smack 'em with the wand! Smack 'em all!!

Let's get real. TPTB played to many audiences. And who would have not wanted to see Ares nude? And Palaemon (Blind Faith) was big time eye candy.

Dang it, that ticks me off. On other boards, I got yelped at for suggesting that my favorite part of X:WP was watching them fry history. Take "Warrior...Princess...Tramp..." Agis was the bad guy; Alcibiades was his second-in command.

In non-xenaverse history, Alcibiades, in trouble in Athens, hid out with the Spartan king Agis II -- and the rumor started that he had gotten Agis II's wife pregnant. On the run again, Alcibiades took refuge with the Persians. Agis II convinced the Persians to kill Alcibiades. They did. (Thuc. bks. 5-8). Now in my warped mind, that makes "Warrior..." a lot of fun. I like that element of messing with history.

And, god bless it, I got really angry that some decided that there was not ever anything but a random connection to the characters and history.

I do not like the enforcement of compulsory anything.

Um, do you rent your wand out?? Accept commissions? :)

Nopers, not that I'm aware of. I just wanted to make it clear in case someone else misunderstood my intentions, yet again. Thanks for the support. [image] [image] I thought everyone already knew me well enough to know I don't push my view, and was shocked to find out that wasn't so. So now I try to remember to leave a disclaimer whenever possible.

I'm sure there are more wands around here somewhere just waiting to be found. [image] I don't know all of the connections Xena has to history, but I do know TPTB sure loved to play around with it. And they loved to scramble it all up too.

LMAO. I get into some of the most interesting conversations with my friend regarding Greek Mythology and ancient Greek history vs. Xena Greek Mythology and ancient history according to Xena. I like to claim all I know I learned from Xena. It's not true, but I love to tease him, (try as I might, I can not get him to watch an episode without picking it apart), and see him get red in the face when I say, "No, no...it happened this way on Xena...."

The other day, he and I were discussing a plant: Black Taro. A tropical thing, it comes from the Amazon and he said that the tuberous root was probably eaten by the Amazonians. Different culture, but I couldn't resist, "It was never mentioned on..."

He saw the gleam in my eye, and cut me short. "I am not talking about the Amazons on Xena."

Siren - that pumpkitty head is too funny - and funny that a cat would actually let someone stick a pumpkin on it. Or anything else. I browsed through the site and was amazed: people have cats that will let their owners put stuff on them?

Of course, mine is not a cat; he's a demon in a fur coat. Devil Kitty, Cat from Hell, would have my throat if I attempted such a thing. The other; the docile Lovable Idiot would just try to eat whatever was the stuff on him.

Very cute, Scrappy. And very, very tiny - I've got dust bunnies bigger than those itty-bitty bunnies.
