All right, Lola: Taylor Dayne! Now there's a singer. Even though its lyric is drippy, co-dependent, go-ahead-and-leave-I'll-wait-for-you-forever drivel (written by a songwriter I love, Diane Warren), I adore Taylor's recording of "Love Will Lead You Back". Her vocal slays me. Don't miss the part from 3:25 on, where she's really wound up and belting it. D*mn! That girl can sing.

Too strangely funny; I never knew White Zombie did a cover of Boogie Man. And I'm not sure the host is Jim Carrey - it kinda looks and sounds like him. Sounds like a good tune for a Halloween mix for sure.

Two...ten-minute drill seems to yeild Jim Carrey as the host! Seems he's a huge metal fan, as well; Cannibal Corpse being his favorite band...according to my ten-minute sources. Too funny. She's A Lady...Tom Jones (?...what would you call Tom Jones' genre?)

She's My Kind Of Rain - Tim McGraw (country)
I remember watching Tom Jones' tv show when I was a kid. I was too little to know what "sexy" was, but I knew I loved watching him. My mom loved him, too. Saw him on tv not long ago. He'd look better without that dye on his hair and beard. But the man is still sexy!

"She's Got You" Patsy Cline
I had a question tonight about the day the music died, the plane crash in 1959 in Iowa that killed Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper. Waylon Jennings, who played bass for Holly at the time, gave up his seat on the 4-seater to the Big Bopper, and took a bus instead to the next gig.
When Holly learned Jennings wasn't taking the flight, he kidded, "I hope your bus freezes up." Jennings replied, "I hope your plane crashes."
I bring it up because on the way home tonight I was thinking of others that perished in plane crashes and, of course, the great Patsy Cline came to mind. Glad I got to use one of her songs here.

Lola! Glad to see you, girl, as always.
Fellow stars Hawkshaw Hawkins and Cowboy Copas died with Patsy in that crash. She was only 31 years old. Otis Redding died in a plane crash, too. His classic "Dock Of The Bay" was recorded just 3 days before he died. Ricky Nelson was another air crash casualty. And the Lynrd Skynrd plane crash was a terrible tragedy.

I didn't know that about Redding and recording that hit just days prior. Wow.
And big ol' hola to you, Siren!

Lola, did you see where Emily Sailers wrote the score for Renee OConner's latest film? Apparently, they are good friends, as well. Small world.
And I know every Jim Reeves song by heart. He's one of mom's favs.

Cool about the movie. Joan looks better--more "wholesome'-looking than she did back in the day. Proabably a little change in lifestyle going on there. Thanks for sharing, ladies.
I'm not sure I knew Lita Ford was a Runaway. Cool.

Thanks for the article, Gams! I am really excited about that movie. That's the best article I've seen on it yet.
I agree, TG. Joan looks like she lives healthy, takes care of herself. BTW, did I tell you guys that my sis, GG, has twin pygmy goats named Joan and Jett? LOL! They are adorable.
