This is the cross roads. The place where you could make a decision and go up into the hills, or down into the valley. Off to the side of the road is an announcement board. This is where you will sign up for the games, check in from time to time for instructions and occaisionally mayhem. WELCOME!

Not yet. Other than everyone who is playing needs to check in here! Phew, that's a relief, thought I might have missed something important. Thank you, thank you, tis a pleasure to be here, though whether I still think that once things get underway remains to be seen.

Ok.....
By virtue of the coin I just flipped I have assigned roles for each of the "contestants".
Phalon: Who-villian Kat: Who-villian Stepper: Grinch Cave Dweller Spock: Grinch Cave Dweller
Siren: (if she decides to play) Who-villian Mia: (if she decides to play) Grinch Cave Dweller
Your first assignement is to check in at your respective areas and describe your character including a Grinch-esque or Who-villian name. Also you must pick a suess-like special power or item that each character has.

Just checking in, in anticipation of winning a Major Award. Oh wait, I've already got one, and I'm wearing it. In that case, to win this round of Survivor.
And yes, Poppet Probst, there is a whole lotta stuff stashed under my Major Award lampshade. Stepper might have the Reeses' bribery trees, but I've got something just for you to wash all that peanut butter down and aid in relieving that holiday stress. Yep, I've brought Jack to help out, and his buddy Pepsi-not-Coke.
You know, just in case you're accepting Christmas brib....er....gifts.

Not going there nor discussing electric sex, but I’ll acknowledge the statement. Checking in! Cave dweller? Is this a reference to Major Award’s man cave thing? Perfect! I’m the Gr-wrench. I’m a multifunctional tool that is adaptable to any need or task. The BEST of the Hooville Army Knives at one end, a hammer head crescent wrench at one end, a Hoo-torch at one, a Hoo-welder at one, and the other two contain various unnamed Hoo-tools and spare parts of all sorts. Hey, it’s a Hooville tool so it’s got more than one end! BTW: One of the previously unnamed tools is a spceialized Jack and Pepsi opener.

Being from "out of town", however, I feel at a bit of a disadvantage. What is a "Who"? What is a "Grinch"? what is a "suess"? What would be considered an appropriate "power or item" for someone who knows nothing about what is going on? Must remember to pack extra dry socks, a few high powered lamps with extra long-life power packs, and a compact, self-powered space heater. From other caves I've been in they tend to be wet and cold. Not a very appetizing place.

I'm liking this already, I get to share with Gams and possibly (hopefully) Siren, what more could any red blooded guy wish for I ask you. Okay then, let's get this thing rolling. My name is Wobbley and I've even posted a picture of myself ..... animals.nationalgeographic.com/animals/mammals/wombat/now I know you're thinking that looks suspiciously like a Wombat, but that's just my clever disguise. Appearing as a small cuddly marsupial instantly puts people at ease ( and also get's my tummy scratched by lovely ladies, a definite added benifit ) My suess-like special power is the ability to morph into any type of creature I desire, but only of a similar size. Well to be 100% honest that's a bit of a fib, everyone knows one can't change shape ( crikey we have to keep a semblance of order, even here in Who-ville ) My real ability is the power to control the minds of others, causing them to see me in any form I may wish to appear as, so I may appear as anything from a Garden Gnome to a Bandicoot, from an Echidna to a .... well ya get my drift I'm sure. Righto let the game begin, and please watch where you step, remember I'm down here and don't appreciate getting trodden on, even by lovely ladies wearing sheer nylons ( seamed of course ) so if you could all ............. right that's enough, I'm starting to ramble now.

Whoo-hoo!!! I'm a villain. A villainess, if you prefer, and I do.
Just to clarify, I'm running a bit behind here, just like everything else that has to do with the holiday so far. When Scrappy posted her "pick a Seuss-like name" directions, I was already here, but not really because actually I was running around the house doing whatever it was I was doing at the time. When I got back to my computer, I didn't refresh the page, and therefore, didn't see she'd posted before I posted.
I'm not a "Major Award", except to perhaps Hubs, who at times would probably disagree...and although that does have kind of a militant villainy ring to it, it is not very Seuss-like.
So, I'll be Windy Whoo-hoo. First name is explanatory; I shall type you to death. And Whoo-hoo because I get to be a villain (whoo-hoo!). Like my Seuss counterpart, Cindy Lou-Whoo, my special power is my cuteness, which I saw wantonly fling with villainessque finesse upon my enemies without the bat of an eyelash. Or maybe a whole lotta eyelash bats. Whatever it takes.
Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha.
(I really gotta start working on that laugh.)

Um...that's Who-villian. Meaning "One who lives in Who-ville". Not a villain. Unless of course that's how you want to behave. However, I imagine the other Whosits will not be pleased with your running amok.
And yes you need to work on that laugh, you sound like you're coughing up a hairball. I imagine it's left over from the previous survivor theme.

Ok, gotcha. Whoville. Whovillager.
But nah...I'll be a Who-villain. Or maybe a Who-villian. Depends on how bad my typing happens to be at the time.
I'm keeping the laugh, though.
Mwah-hahahahaha.
Oh, and when have I not run amok? Or at least limped along amokishly.

Just like a hairball....by the way, did you account for all the zombies last time? I mean, she was getting awfully friendly with Steve...and she's still coughing up hairballs...

Nevermind, I probably don't want to know.

Uhm...how is it possible to get 34 points out of 10 plus 20? Nevermind, I probably don't want to know. As an adjunct to your perfectly pertinent question Gams, I'd like to know how it's possible to score 29 points from a puzzle that has twenty answers each scoring one point ..................... methinks someone (not mentioning names) is makin' up the rules on the run. And I'm only going to say the who-villians need to get more creative. Ummm, creative. I'll just pop open a bottle of Jack Daniels Special Blend from the crate I have stashed away over here and savour a glass while I try to think of a way to be more creative .......... plenty to go round if anyone *cough* is tempted.

*puffpuffpuff......Hostess-with-the-mostesst slumps against the sign post and sits on the ground exhausted.....
Ok folks. 20 hours of overtime this week has made me fall behind in score keeping. I want to apologize. All bribes that have been thrown this way over the last week are here by rufunded. However, if you love me you won't make me give them back.
Anyway sounds like at least a couple of us are currently in the same boat. I'm giving everyone another week to finish the current puzzles. Hopefully I'll be able to catch up with all the mayhem today, my one day off for the next two weeks!
*sigh the things I'll do for all the homeless animals in town. Totally worth it.

And of course we love you, so no need to return the bri .... gratuities that have been bestowed upon you, gifts given from the heart to show our appreciation of your tireless efforts. P.S. Plenty more where those came from as well. *sigh the things I'll do for all the homeless animals in town. Totally worth it. Well done Scrappy.

So I spent a week under some random table sleeping off the after affects of a peanut butter tree and jack daniels bender.....
No more bribes.
The totals for the last game are as follows:
Cave dwellers:
34 + 102 = 136
Who-Villians:
29 + 46 = 75
Still looks like the cave dwellers are over achieving. Next game posted shortly.
