I have to admit Phalon, I'd really like to be there about now.

So go there. If not physically right now, than mentally. Nothing wrong with using a bit of imagination to have a reflective conversation while throwing logs on the campfire in your head.
There's worse ways to burn brain cells, I'd imagine.

You gag on toast? You've a very unusual person!

Post by Phalon on Sept 23, 2009 22:39:01 GMT -6
There are a few things that cause me to gag, but no, toast isn't one of them.
Tar on the other hand....
...should never touch toast. Use your clean hand, please.

I couldn't even if I tried, Katina; I'm too busy gagging. You didn that on purpose, didn't you? <smile> Well let's just say I had you in mind when I wrote it. A Saturday off work [ work, what the heck is that ] and watching the mighty Cats win their second Premiership in three years, which is exactly what I'll be doing in, let's see, fifteen hours from now. Everything's in readiness, got the packet of Valium to calm the nerves, the bottle of plonk in the fridge ready to celebrate, and the packet of Panadol for the ensuing hangover ........... Go the mighty Cats.

You had me in mind when you wrote about icky tar? I should be offended by this in some way, shouldn't I? Somewhere down the line, one day when I finally get a taste of Vegemite, I'm sure I'll think of nothing but you, Katina. And it'll probably be that I find I like the stuff.
How's Vegemite go with crow?
Good luck to your Cats tomorrow, (today?). Tell you what - I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Cats, and you keep yours crossed for my Wolverines. Sounds like the perfect winning combination to me; we can't lose.

And it'll probably be that I find I like the stuff. That's the spirit Lady P, keep a positive attitude; I'm looking forward to your verdict. Good luck to your Cats tomorrow, (today?). Tell you what - I'll keep my fingers crossed for the Cats, and you keep yours crossed for my Wolverines. Sounds like the perfect winning combination to me; we can't lose. Shall do. The first half of the double is in, and ....................... . Cats premiers 09 .................. I is a happy chappie, and right now bed is lookin' very good, been a big afternoon. Sheesh that took my last bit of energy. Go Wolverines.

So thrilled for you, kat! That's fantastic!! Congrats to the mighty, mighty Cats!
Yay for you on your Wolverines' win, Gams. My Chicago Bears pulled out a win this weekend, too. Woopee for us both! And the mailman just brought my order forms for my Sooner gals' upcoming basketball season. So, things are looking up!
Here's a great combo:
Monday Night Football on tv and a platter of hot wings (with ranch dipping sauce, of course)

Suddenly, we sound like a good sports bra, Katina. But hey, as long as we get that championship cup, why not.
Already got my fingers crossed that the Sooners go a step further than last year, Siren. Just one step would be all it takes, yes?

Thanks Siren, was a fantastic game and a great effort by the boys; two flags in three years, whoever woulda thunk it. Hope your gals can go all the way this year. Suddenly, we sound like a good sports bra, Katina. But hey, as long as we get that championship cup, why not.

One of my favorites, Siren! Hubs made a big pot of his oh-so-good homemade chicken soup before I left for Mom's on Sunday. I had a bowl before hitting the road, and he packed a big container to take to Mom. Since he cooks enough soup to feed an army, Mom's container had way more than she could eat, so I had another bowl. And I thought I was going to miss out since I was leaving town.
A clear night and a big, beautiful moon hanging in it.
It's out there now, as it has been all week. Maybe not as full as it was Sunday, but it still seems just as big - the biggest moon I've seen in a while.
