My perfect combination is Hubs and I cooking tea together!
not exactly what we were talking about but I thought I'd share it with you all!

Ah Vox, very nice. I'm a tea fan myself.
Gray overcast skies making a day with nothing to do but stay home and commune with that special someone.

A free morning, clear skies, fresh snow, and a pair of cross-country skis!
Finally!!!

Christmas morning and children. Warning: this can also be a terrible combination!

And at the end of the day....
Ahhh....peace and quiet, with these words left to remind you why it's all worthwhile, "Thanks, Mom and Dad. It was the bestest Christmas ever."

Yes! For about 10 minutes. The "ah...peace and quiet" was written after we tucked BP in bed, with a gentle snow falling outside. Then all hell broke loose when Hubs, LX and I decided to watch a movie together, and they picked GI Joe, (ick), and forced me to stay awake and watch it with them (Mom, are you awake still? Dear, you're not asleep, are you?) Not that I could have fallen asleep with all the noise from weapons, car crashes, and general carnage. Not my kind of movie, but View on Demand had little else to choose from that more than one of us could agree on so "hot guys" (LX) and hi-tech action (Hubs) won out over "a cooking show" - Julie and Julia. Not that Julia Childs' voice like nails-on-a-chalkboard is exactly quiet either, but at least there's food to drool over. GI Joe had no food.
Doing the cooking, TG, or on the receiving end?

Pot luck, sis. I did do the turkey (well, I didn't actually do the turkey)...I cooked the turkey...and the giblet gravy. I only volunteered the dead bird because Frank brought it with him when he moved in and its 15-lb. mass left little room in my refrigerator freezer for much else...except his 25 lbs. of dead cow and dead pig. Pfft.

TG! I'll help divest you of the dead birds, cows, and pigs! I got this killer grill for Christmas, and an amazing deck with hot tub to help show it off! Okay, they were virtual, but still, I'd be willing to help. That's what friends are for, right? <<looking as innocent as possible>> I'll even cook it for you!
So here's a perfect combination. Hungry friends and after Christmas left overs and stuff taking up too much freezer space.
