FOX Places Call for More 'Nanny 911' (Thursday, April 28 08:48 AM) LOS ANGELES (Zap2it.com) Unlike the end of "Mary Poppins," the work for the nannies of "Nanny 911" is not yet finished. FOX has ordered a new season of the series, in which a team of nannies helps parents with unruly children restore order to their homes. It's unclear whether the new season will be part of the network's summer lineup or be held until the traditional fall season.
The show, put together hastily to beat ABC's similar "Supernanny" onto the air, has performed solidly in its 8 p.m. Monday timeslot after a brief run on Wednesdays. It draws about 8.6 million viewers per week and has improved on the time period's season average in FOX's target demographics of adults 18-34 and 18-49.
It's also among the top 20 shows on television among teenagers. "Supernanny" has also done reasonably well for ABC, averaging 9.1 million viewers, and will likely be a contender to earn a second season
