George's father has a serious heart problem and when it comes to choosing the best surgeon for the job to George it means his friend and widely-renowned surgeon Dr. Preston Burke. Burke knows the pressure this kind of surgery puts on him. Cristina thinks that as a team they can handle it but Burke isn't so sure. Meredith and Derek start working on being a couple again and Derek and Addison try to work more civilized terms for their relationship after divorce. A patient has had mutiple plastic surgeries done so that his girlfriend will like him better. A girl is brough in with mutiple injuries. Mom wants the babysitter fired but the girl likes the babysitter better than her mom.
