I was googling "Quibber***" to see if the word would show up anywhere, and Harry Potter popped up... what is that all about? One site mentioned a magazine called Quibber. Does anyone know where J. K. Rowling got the word "Quibber" from?
I wrote a children's poem _many_ years ago, and I created the word "quibber" as a form of "quiver". (Such as a small child might say it.) I searched all my dictionaries, but didn't find it listed, so just assumed it didn't exist.
And then tonight, I got the idea to google to see if it would show up online, and it just floored me to see that someone else came up with the word too.

hi i'm ilb's oldest offspring...yes i'm 13. a huge harry potter fan.
about quibber... it's a magizine in the fifth harry potter book. i'm thinking it means gossip or rumors. j.k rowling makes up a lot of words such as 'erised' which is 'desire' spelled backwards. that's what makes her a good author, she uses her imagination.
nice typing with you! rae rae.

Thanks very much for the info, rae rae..... hopefully great minds think alike and I'll get this poem published one day, just like J.K. Rowling got her Harry Potter books published.
