Okay, i'm asking very nicely. Give us some comments and be darn quick about it.
Is that nice enough. ;D
Who is it by the way, or is that a secret. Just a guess, but is she fairly new to the boards?

Nope she's an old hat at hanging around on the boards. Was a member of the original but I convinced her to come back. She's reading away...should be done soon.

Well, Scraps... I'll take that as a subtle hint to say hello : )
My critique... I agree with K... it started out slow but really picked up around page 7 or so. I would compare it to a child learning how to walk. And once the bards learned how to walk as a group, they took off running. I was/am thoroughly engrossed in the story now.

Wow! This new pc of mine is amazing!
Now why can't I post or access my messages? The front page says I'm logged in even after I logged out. Must need a little tinkering, then I'm back in The House. Please be patient with me, my friends.

You say you're logged in when you're logged out, and even though you expect to be logged out, you want to access your messages? I'm sorry, that just sounded funny, but I doubt the problem lies with you personally, Guru. Interestingly enough, if someone deletes their account, it will still say "Hey, [insert username here], you have xx messages, xx are new" at the top until you go to another page. If you want to see it, just sign up at gigglystest.proboards1.com, register an account (you don't need an admin to do it there), and delete yourself there - not here, because then you'd lose your post count and we'd have to re-register you. Ok, so... new computer... Are your cookies set correctly and all that good stuff?

Still here, Guru, and have you figured things out yet? If so, and if not, check your privacy setting. I remember when I got my new computer, the privacy setting was set to maximum, and this board, (or maybe it was the old board?), only allows for a moderate setting.
If this is the problem, go to your Control Panel, then click on Internet Options, then Privacy, and set to medium; about midway down on the bar thingy.
Now didn't that sound all technical and like I actually know how to work one of these things? One of the few computer related things I figured out on my own, and I was pretty damned proud of myself. Pfft.

Problem solved! Turns out it was a corrupted registry key ... whatever that is. Some security setting was correctly set, but I had to un-set it and then reset it to make it work. Ain't computers wonderful? Now if I could only write the beginning of the post I've already written the end of...

Who are you, and what have you done with Phalon? LMAO! Well said! You could also customize your settings (privacy » advanced) and allow 'session' cookies, because those are what keep you logged in. Are you sure your problem is fixed, 'doggy dog'? From Wikipedia: The 'registry' in an operating system records which hardware uses what part of the memory space and addressing.

It's me, Gigs, I swear. Every once in a great while I actually have a moment or two of lucidity - like that time I told you I finally figured out how to turn the computer's volume on, and then mute it again when I was done listening to whatever it was I was listening to at the moment. What a break-through that was, (rolls eyes).
Now if I could just figure out how to write a post without using the edit feature, I'd be set - cuz all those errors are the fault of the computer and not the operator, yes?

I'm very proud of you, Phalon. Yes, the need to edit is all the computer's fault. When we get the Spell Check, maybe that'll help alleviate the need for the edit function. ;D

Gigs, I think my computer's editing problem goes far deeper than anything a mere Spell-check feature can correct. When are we getting Thought-check?

LMAO! That would be a feature a lot of people could use.
