Just out of curiosity, how many of the "new" members have made even one post?

Welcome Queeny! I should be jealous. I've had 5 cats at the same time, but unless I count feral cats (who, for the most part, won't allow me to get within touching distance), I've not come close to seven. Then again, that wouldn't leave a lot of room in the bed.
Sounds like a farm - there are all kinds of good things about living on a farm. Saturday mornings isn't one of them 'cause you don't get to sleep in and that's something I really look forward to - not getting up before the sun.

Hiya, Queeny. I've seen you post as a guest a couple of times; you are a friend of Joxie's, yes?
I have, nor have ever had, nothing close to seven cats - just one at the moment, along with a dog....and two girls, and a Hubs, all of which, at times, means I have five children in the house. Or five animals. Depending on everyone's mood.
Or my mood.

One is an untouchable feral. But the Tom's were beating up on her, so she came in when the boys did and she is happy. As long as I don't try to touch her! LMAO Mom and Dad don' t really have a farm....they only have a couple of acres. They are 78 (Mom) and 80 (Dad)...they have a huge shop, and several out-buildings....just keeping down the weeds is a 24/7 job! But that is the reason we moved here. They are aging and need help. LOL Yes...I consider myself a friend of Joxie's....remarkable woman she is. I did not plan on having that many critters, but they show up....get dumped or hurt and I find and help, and heal....with the old dog. My sister passed away suddenly in 2012...then her husband passed away suddenly in 2014...my Nephew is still in college, and he found a home for one of their dogs....and he could take the small one to college with him. But his old German Shorthaired pointer....he was about in tears thinking he would have to have her put down....so even though we are "cat" people....we took her in. She she can have a nice retirement with us for a few more years..

Got goats? Or something to help graze on the green? They might eat enough to give you time for a coffee break or an extra half hour with mom and dad. Of course, having animals can also increase your work load. Chickens were fun, but it wasn't my farm and they weren't my full time concern. And of course you had to get the eggs before the snakes did - I'm not a fan of dealing with snakes even when they're only chicken snakes.

Shoot, Chere. Sorry to hear about your divorce; I didn't even know you were married. Australia right? It's been so long, I don't know if I'm remembering correctly!

Don't be sorry Phalon, best thing that has happened to me. Spent the better part of a decade with a not so nice person. It ended a year and a half ago and now I'm with an absolutely incredible woman who is such a kind person and I couldn't be happier and yes it is Australia haha.

Sometimes when you've had to wade through a bunch of sh!t, it makes you appreciate the good stuff even more. Glad you made it through, and are now happy!
Good to know my memory isn't as bad as it pretends to be!
