What would you feel comfortable with a child age five and under being taught to do when a fire broke out in their home?

I think the younger they are the more it is taken in Mini Mia! they are like little sponges at that age, soaking up all kinds of information, just so long as it is about how to protect themelves and their loved ones, I don't see any harm in it! I apologise if that upset's you and I do understand that it may frighten some little ones, but you hear of so many sad stories about children playing with fire! As long as they are given the correct information eh?

Well, I have a manuscript that gives step by step details that I had set for ages 2 to 5, and then I thought perhaps it was too old for them. I thought parents might prefer I only give them info on not hiding and not give the steps to getting out on their own.
I felt I should say they should wait for their parents, or some such, but then what if their parents were trapped and end up dying, or having to be rescued themselves? So I thought I'd get some input before I decided what I should do during revisions of this manuscript.
