Zoo or Park?

Depends, can I combine the two and say open range Zoo?
Lucrezia Borgia or Ann Coulter?

Hmm...wicked witch vrs. female Rush Limbaugh.
Coulter is too conservative for me--naturally.
I'll go with Lucrezia.
And I'm with Kat on the open range thing. I hate zoos...and the circus...and those carnival pony rides...all hideous avenues of animal exploitation.
Xena and Ares or Xena and Ceasar (as a couple)?

Coulter is too conservative for me--naturally. "Conservative" sheesh that'a a polite way of describing her. And I'm with Kat on the open range thing. I hate zoos...and the circus...and those carnival pony rides...all hideous avenues of animal exploitation. Xena and Ares or Xena and Ceasar (as a couple)? Lot of Zoos are getting better nowadays thank the gods. Xena and Ares for mine.

Sorry, was supposed to put up a new this or that wasn't I?
Throwing thingy for mine.
Leather or Chainmail?

Post by quettalee on Jul 3, 2009 21:04:58 GMT -6
Ooo, tuff one. I love it in the "Legacy" ep where she does her little chakram demonstration for Kahina. But then I had to teach myself how to do the whole sword-twirling thingy that she does at the beginning of the show (not as easy as she made it look)...but then I have our chakram necklaces that Mare had custom-made...
Chakram.
Poker or Dominos?

|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 3, 2009 21:09:05 GMT -6
Can I have a little of both? Oh, alright - if I have to pick one, it'll be leather.
Dominos....pizza. I don't play either.
Hammock with a book, or river with a fishing pole?

Nice comfy chair wity a book would be my preferance, but I'll go with hammock&book.

Cake and milk or cobbler and ice cream?

How do a shoe repairman and Ice Cream fit together? That's my clever way of asking what cobbler is.

Cake and milk. I don't care for ice-cream mucking up my cobbler.
fireflies or butterflies?

Cobbler and ice cream, although I don't get what a shoe maker has to do with ice cream.
cherries or strawberries

I'll let TG get that one, since I have my doubts you were believing my explanations in the other thread.
(psst - it's a fruity pie-like dessert. No, really, it is.)

Yes, it's kinda a pie. No crust bottom or top though. Just add fruit to dish, then add crumbled dough or crumbs to top.

Course I was believing your explanations, I think. I know you're not pulling my leg this time cause Jox just confirmed your description. Thanks Jox. Now what was the question?

I hear tomato cobbler is very, very good.
Never heard it called that, Jox, but I'm thinking it would be pretty close to what we always called stewed tomatoes...made with tomatoes, bread, and lots of sugar...baked in the oven. Not one of my favs. I would rather skip the bread and add macaroni of some kind with not so much sugar and a little basil and black pepper and parsley, onion flakes...and fix it on top of the stove. Simple and filling. And you boys are sooo funny with your shoemaker/repairer remarks. OK, I'll cut Kat a little slack (and dip him a big helping of my favorite "peach" cobbler), but I know you know, Step, what cobbler is. It's one of those easy, peasy desserts you can whip out in a pinch...cup of sugar, cup of flour, two cups of fruit, and a stick of butter. An hour in the oven and you got cobbler! (I like a little more flour in mine) Now...what was the question? Or the catagory, for that matter?

I'll go with strawberries...and make them with cream in honor of the Wimbledon weekend.
Always arriving early or always being fashionably late?

The funny thing is that people actually eat that stuff. On purpose!
Arrive early! Arriving late requires an excuse.
Candy or flowers?

Oh, darn! I was thinking that "tomato cobbler" sounded pretty good, but had a vision of sliced tomatoes in a little olive oil, some basil, onion, cheese and topped with some kind of au-gratin (sp?) topping. Stewed tomatoes - bluck.
Mom made stewed tomatoes but they were always savory instead of sweet - no sugar at all. But still - bluck.
Now that sounds good!
Flowers.
Comedy or drama?

The funny thing is that people actually eat that stuff. On purpose! Arrive early! Arriving late requires an excuse. Candy or flowers? Don't forget the other reason we ate that stuff...because it was cheap...and a good way to not waste any tomatoes from the garden. Remember, we're talking five or six rows of tomatoes. It didn't matter in the stewed tomatoes if they were too mushy for just plain ole slicing up in a bowl. Another one of those tomato standbys was white rice with cooked tomatoes. Bless mom's heart. She loved her rice and tomatoes, but me...bluck! I don't really like my tomatoes cooked. I don't like big chunks of tomatoes in my chili or spaghetti, either. I am never late either, Stepper. Wildflowers...or dark chocolate-covered caramels (Reisens are fine)... Wildflowers. Cotton, flannel or satin sheets?

dark chocolate-covered caramels . And your answer depends. Satin is fun in the right moments, and my brother swears by flannel, but generally I go with cotton.
Sleep better when it's cold out or warm?
