Go to sleep with the tv (or radio) on or off?

Off, or else I find myself watching or listening.

There's a difference?

Only in the spelling, Katina. My fingers can never decide which they like best, and choose a different way to type it each time. I dunno, <shrugs>, just wondered if there's one preferred way over the other.

Ketchup, definitely. When I was a kid, my babysitter used catsup and even then I thought it was weird. Most likely untrue, but in my mind - where everything matters - catsup is thin and runny.
The holiday just passed so ... watching a fireworks display or setting off your own?

Ketchup for me too. Watching. Popcorn & Coke or chips, salsa & beer?

Salsa, chips and beer.
A lazy summer afternoon, or a cool foggy evening?
Today was gorgeous - bright and sunny. It cooled down during the evening, and a thick fog rolled in off the Lake. Honestly, sometimes I can't decide which I like better.

I dunno, <shrugs>, just wondered if there's one preferred way over the other. Ahhhhhh, so you were asking which pronunciation is preferred, not which product? Righto then, my preferred option ............. Sauce. ;D That last question's a tuffie, probably a lazy summer afternoon provided it's not to hot, then again it could be a cool foggy evening provided it's not to cold .................... sheesh I gotta get back to you on this one, decisions, decisions.

Cool foggy evening....everytime. Warm drink and maybe a fire.
Whiskey or Rum

Whiskey - spelled whiskey, and not whisky, though the second will do in a pinch. But never rum.
Funky tourist trap or art gallery?

How about "funky art gallery".

watching a movie at the theaters or home?

Home.
Or drive-in, if that's an option and it's not sticky hot and humid. I hate movie theaters.
Bungee jumping or skydiving?
|
|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 11, 2009 6:47:45 GMT -6
ACK!!! Heights! I've never done either, and though I'd like to if the opportunity presented itself, I'm afraid my fear of heights would keep me from jumping. I almost did a kind of bungee-jumping thing last year at an amusement park - in a harness contraption, they raised you high, high, high 180 feet up in the air, let you go, and you not only dropped, but swooped out over a lake at 60 to 80 mph and swung back and forth a number of times. You could fly tandem, so Hubs was going to go with me to hold my hand. But when we got up to the counter, we realized the cost listed was per person, and not per ride - we weren't prepared to pay that much at the time.
Drive or travel by plane?

|
Post by quettalee on Jul 12, 2009 0:20:01 GMT -6
I don't like heights, either, Gams. I almost think I could jump out of a plane before I could bungee, however. With a parachute, you would have more time to get ahold of the fear and then the rest of the ride down would be the most wicked rush.
Pfft. I couldn't even dive off the high dive at the local lake when I was a kid. I could jump, but I couldn't dive.
I like..."two lane blacktop" best.
Batman & Robin or The Lone Ranger & Tonto?

Home. Or drive-in, if that's an option and it's not sticky hot and humid. I hate movie theaters. Fair dinkum? Love settling back in a nice dark theatre, and nothing beats the big screen experience IMO.

Can't stand to sit still that long, Katman. Plus, I'm just a tad claustrophobic at times.
And when you're all settled back in that dark theatre, are you watching...

coffee or tea?
|
|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 19, 2009 7:13:13 GMT -6
Mostly definitely coffee. I'll have an iced tea, (not sweet tea), every once in a while, but I don't care for hot tea at all.
Dogs or cats?

|
|

(Tea for me)
That's a tuffie, Phalon. Just to pick, I'll say...
Cats. They're not quite as needy as dogs and I don't do needy very well right now.
And due to recently viewing a commercial break about cottage cheese...
Cottage cheese & tomatoes or cottage cheese and fruit?
(I like tomatoes, peaches, and canteloupe the best...not all at the same time).

|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 20, 2009 4:09:50 GMT -6
If it's fruit, I like pineapple. I prefer though, cottage cheese and tomatoes....lotsa pepper, and a pinch of chives, (in fact, that's what I'm taking for lunch today).
Flying kites or blowing bubbles?

|
|
Post by quettalee on Jul 20, 2009 19:08:16 GMT -6
Blowing bubbles. Electric toothbrush or old school brushing?
|
|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 21, 2009 5:45:47 GMT -6
"Old school" brushing, with "old school" mint-flavored toothpaste, followed by mint-flavored Listerine. The newer flavors - cinnamon, vanilla, and such don't leave that clean-feeling that mint does. And thank goodness BP has outgrown the bubblegum toothpaste age! Grabbing her tube by mistake....BLUCK!
Night owl or early bird?

Printing or cursive?
|
|
|
Post by Siren on Jul 21, 2009 23:29:53 GMT -6
printing
I started printing years ago, thinking it would help people read my bad writing. Trouble is, I run all the letters together, so I might as well write in cursive!
Tivo or VHS?
|
|
|
Post by Phalon on Jul 24, 2009 4:20:18 GMT -6
My Mom does that Siren - prints but runs all the letters together. The only cursive I've ever seen her write is her signature and the "Love, Mom" at the end of her letters. Weird thing is - all her run-together letters are all capitals; she never writes in lower case.
VHS or Tivo is a hard one for me. I'll go with VHS just because we have a VCR; we're way too technically behind the times to have Tivo. If I miss one of the few shows I normally watch, I'll usually catch it on "View on Demand".
Peanut butter and jelly, or grilled cheese and tomato soup?

That's an almost impossible decision.

printing I started printing years ago, thinking it would help people read my bad writing. Trouble is, I run all the letters together, so I might as well write in cursive! I was having a conversation about this a few weeks ago. For the last 30 years I've had to print my job reports, sometimes up to 10 a day. I've found that I have totally lost the ability to write cursively? No matter how hard I try, I get 2 letters in and just can't form the letters after that and lapse into print.
