love the great posts since i read it last. it totally slipped my mind that the sword had a personality. read gabrielle's thought about it seeming like the sixth sense.... naaaah. unless she means that phalon and scrappy and aphemine are the "i see dead people" kid. your newest post is really cute, aphrodite. i still can't think of anything to post between now and the time the story makes it to sunset. but it's all good. i can wait. keep at it, guys! |

i've been trying to think of what i want my banner to look like, and it seems like while i was thinking, everyone else went and got themselves banners!  anyone have any ideas for mine...? i had one that i thought i liked but it looked really messed up so i threw it out. but now i dunno what i even want mine to look like. suggestions... anyone...? |

yeah... the problem there is i don't think renee o'connor ever had her hair that way. plus her eyes are the wrong color. the black and white one i have that's my avatar is about the closest i can get, i think. but i dunno how to make her hair look blacker and her eyes green.  |

Photoshop it using Paint.net, or any other software. Photobucket even lets you fix up images you've uploaded into an album. Then you can save it as the original, or save as a separate copy. If you mess up, just delete it and try again, or click on "undo." No harm or foul unless you accidentally save it over the original photo, and then you'll have to hunt it down on the internet again or reupload from your computer.
Play around and have fun, that's how you learn to do stuff.

LMAO, Ellie. I wondered how long you were going to wait. Dang, if you read the house story it took us years for us to get through a couple of days!
I think somebody mentioned a while ago (Moonglum maybe?), that since there are two storylines (three or four if you count Dixie's Twin and Trenna), it shouldn't be necessary for them all to coincide with the exact time of day.

I believe it was Ellie, herself, who said that timelines shouldn't matter too much. let me see if I can find that quote. EDIT: found it. don't worry so much about the timeline thing. they can catch up. it's no biggie. i tried to tell you that before. just don't jump ahead a huge amount of time, and there really shouldn't be too much of a problem. take your own advice, Elle.  |

 it was me.  i have a bad habit of not listening to myself. but you knew that already. anywho. love your latest post, aphrodite. i'mma wait awhile again to post my next one. actually, next two. they're flashback posts, and the beginnings and end of them need a little... tweeking. plus, even though we established that the timeline thing is not an issue, i really don't want to make it be the next day until the other bards catch up. yeah, call me a weirdo, i've been called worse. hear that, guys? don't make me get out the cattle prod! i have a couple of HUGE flashback posts that i'm going to post today. they need a bit of tweaking, and one of them will have a "blood and guts" type warning at the top. but they'll be up sometime in the next couple hours. hope you guys like them. the flashbacks come straight out of ellie's 96-page backstory, which took me forever to finish.

Nice weaving in of your character's backstory, Ellie.
Just curious....kind of something I've wondered since nearly the beginning of the story....is there a story behind the katanas some of your characters use? I've always associated that particular type of sword as being Japanese, and am just curious if there's something in Ellie's or Ava's past that links them to that country.

glad you liked it, phalon. the katanas actually have to do with queen eglise's backstory. i was thinking of sticking some of that in here somewhere, but i really don't know where or when. her backstory isn't nearly as long as ellie's... and i know that makes no sense, since eglise is a lot older... but her backstory isn't nearly as interesting. heh. and, of course, since i mostly tell the story from ellie's point of view, the only way she would know any of eglise's history would be if somebody told her. which.... hm. might be a good idea for a future post. |

It's good to be back (for longer than a few minutes anyway). Been suffering from Scrappy's computer problems here (must be contagious). Broadband kept failing. Finally had the phone company out New Years Eve to repair the line.
Pieced together something for a quick post. Hope you all enjoy it.
