Thanks, Mia! I will check that out. Just heard this song for the first time today. Love it! Remember when Michelle was with Destiny's Child? What a cool, husky voice!

Here's a weird question....when you get a song stuck in your head, does it repeat itself in there with your voice singing, the recording artist's, or the person who you last heard sing it, singing it only for the purpose of getting it stuck there, (in my case Hubs, with his Irritating Song of the Day crooning)?

Usually the recording artist's voice, but occasionally I do get the repeat of hubs singing a song!

Wow, I didn't know Hubs had such far-reaching, across-the-sea abilities with his Irritating Song of the Day! Just kidding, Vox; I'm sure Moonglum's singing is much less irritating than Hubs'.....and if it's not, you have my sympathies.
I'm with you - most times it's the recording artist's voice I hear, with occasional interludes from Hubs, because he tends to mess up the words, or sing his own versions of a song over, and over to the point that it overrides any other version.
This past week though, the same song has been stuck in my head, and I was surprised when I stopped to actually listen to the voices in my head, and found it was my own.....accompanied by LX's.
One of those mother/almost-teenaged daughter moments when each of us was on the brink driving the other insane, just before I was to drive her over a friend's house.
"Are you ready to go?" I asked, through gritted teeth.
"Yes, I'm ready to go", she replied with practiced teenage eye-roll.
Too perfect! At the same moment, we broke into song, erasing the tension between us. Ironically, the title of the song is "When Worlds Collide" by Powerman 5000; teenage world collides with adult world, and sometimes it works out okay.
Our duet went something like this....
Me: Now this is what it's like when worlds collide ... Are you ready to go?
LX: Yes, I'm ready to go.
Me: What you gonna do, baby, baby? Are you going with me?
LX: Yes, I'm going with you.
Both: It's the end of all time. Are you ready? Are you ready? It's the end of all tiiiiiii-iiime.
I am so not ready for the full-force teenage years.

I don't know about you Phalon, but MG has the irritating habit of changing the words of songs, especially ones I like! no, most of the time they are really funny lyrics he comes up with! I've always said that he is a frustrated Children's TV Presenter! sounds like your hubs and mine have a lot in common!
As far as the thing with the girls go, I have now reached the stage where both my girls do it, we tend to say the same thing at the same time! it's really spooky!

Can't Be Really Gone - Tim McGraw
A beautifully written, wonderfully sad song that's open to interpretation - did she die, or did she leave? My sis says she left; I say she died. I wish I could find the music video for you to watch. It's a good one. Originally, it ended with the words, "Rage against the dying of the light," and an address for the Minnie Pearl charity that benefits cancer research. So, the video director, at least, agreed with me.
I love the little tear in Tim's voice.

You just get better all the time Darlin' don't you change a thing Lately you're the only song I wanna sing And you're my reason to try You just get sweeter every day The little things you do and say If only you could see you through my eyes You just get better all the time

Cool - thanks, Mia!
That is a wonderful song from Tim, Vox. I first heard it about 10 years ago, sung by James House. Then, I heard Tim's version, and since then, Tony Joe White's. The lyric and melody of that tune are soooo sweet. Would make a lovely wedding or "first dance" song.

WARNING: This Alabama girl is very, VERY twangy. As Grand Ole Opry star Bill Anderson said, "This girl is so country, she makes Loretta Lynn sound like she's from Liverpool!". But I love that authentic country sound. She's genuine and natural, totally unmanufactured. This is the title cut from the best album I've heard this year, Ashton Shepherd's "Sounds So Good".

Oh! You two are bad! LMAO. Trying to get that stuck in my head first thing in the morning; you're as bad as Hubs.
I wanna try out that new toy....this has been stuck in my head for a few days. Love the song. Though this isn't the "official" video, it's an interesting one.....stick around 'til the end, (with the volume off if you don't like the song); it's quite interesting.
