I'm sure you've probably don't watch this show but the theme song to Aqua Teen Hunger Force has been stuck in my head for days. "Coz we are the aqua teens, make the homies say ho, make the girlies wanna scream, Aqua Teen Hunger Force, number 1 in the hood G" ;D I 'm sad I know. Renee

That's not sad...this is really sad... That new Shania Twain song is played constantly on the radio here-the annoying, "...having a party...party for two..." It's a crappy song, and an even worse video, yet it's stuck like gum in my head... Homer: "Weasling out of work is important to learn; it is what separates humans from animals. Except for weasels."

Too funny, ReneeisXena and XA. I hate when that happens.
Right now, 'Do You Wanna Be My Girl?' by Jet is in my head. A song you just can't sit still while listening to.

Isn't it the truth, Scrappy....the power of suggestion. I wrote a line from a song the other day in one of the threads here. Just one line, and it was a song I hadn't heard in awhile.
The song has been running through my head since.
Sweating Bullets by Megadeth, a fun little ditty, (LMAO), that reminds me somewhat of evil Callisto.

I should really post before I read here. I can't remember what the heck I was singing, but now it's Jet and - wait, after some quick free associating, it's now:
...strumming my faith with his fingers....killing me softly with his song, killing me softly, with his words, telling my whole life with his song, killing me soft-ly...
Whew, can't believe I made it through "my anaconda don't want none unless it's got buns, hun" without it attaching itself for the next 3 hours.

Gotta listen to it at least five times in a row or it keeps playing in my head.
(Last week it was Battery by Metallica. Go figure.)

Okay here's one that will drive you nuts. "I wanna a new Drug" by Huey Lewis and the News. It was on The Simpson's last night and I can't get it out of my brain. Oh well, it's better than the Spice girls song "Do you wanna be my lover?" That was in my head a few days ago. ;D

Today it's "Feelin' Way Too Damn Good", by Nickelback. Love the song, and I like the video also. Actually, I like any of the Nickelback videos.....Chad Kroeger....swoon.

In the Midnight Hour by Wilson Pickett.
Roxy Music did a version of it in the late seventies or early eighties, and I like that one too - all smooth and sleek. There's a third one I'm thinking of - kind of CCR sounding, though I don't think it's them. Maybe I'm wrong, but three versions keep flipping through my head, and it's bugging me that I can't remember who did the third.

"You'll never get away from the sound of the WOOOOOMAN who loves you, Woman such a fool" BOLL. Okay, so I cannot sing the lyrics. They go something like that. Anywho, it is a Stevie Nicks song that I heard this past week. "I'll follow you down till the sound of my voice will haunt you"
What is the name of that? Sliverspring? Now that sounds painful.

I can't make you love me
Turn down the lights, turn down the bed. Turn down these voices inside my head. Lay down with me, tell me no lies. Just hold me close, don't patronize. Don't patronize me.
Cause I can't make you love me if you don't. You can't make your heart feel Something it won't. Here in the dark, In these final hours I will lay down my heart And I'll feel the power But you won't, No you won't. Cause I can't make you love me, If you don't.
I'll close my eyes, then I won't see. The love you don't feel when you're holding me. Morning will come and I'll do what's right. Just give me till then to give up this fight. And I will give up this fight...
Cause I can't make you love me if you don't. You can't make your heart feel Something it won't. Here in the dark, in these final hours. I will lay down my heart And I'll feel the power. But you won't, No you won't.
Cause I can't make you love me, If you don't.
Performed by Bonnie Raitt

Well, my head was pretty empty til I came on & saw Gwen's post.....I had to dig that song out & now it won't go away...I played that particular Bonnie Raitt cassette til I wore it out!! Phalon, there have been several Midnight Hours along the way.....Greatful Dead, Young Rascals, Brian Ferry, Johnny Rivers, Billy Idol, & even a very rare recording by Jefferson Airplane. (I had a roommate from hell that stole all my J. A. & Grace Slick "albums", so I can't even download it for you.... )

Yes, Marysgurl!!!! The Grateful Dead version was the one I couldn't remember. (Brian Ferry being the Roxy Music one I was referring to. Love that one.)
Spiral, by Godsmack is what I have in my head now, which I just heard in the car. Good thing, cuz it wiped out Hub's irritating song of the day, which he sings to me each morning just because he knows it'll be floating around my head until the next morning. HA, Hubs. Foiled your plans today.
And what was his irritating song of the day this morning?
Matchstick Man. I can't remember who sang, or even the words, cuz hubs doesn't know them either. Just this highly irritating guitar riff that'll get stuck in your brain forevaaaaaa.....
I'm not listening, I'm not listening.
