Which one was that? I've mentioned a lot of songs a few weeks ago!
Repetitive...hmmm...
Let it be...
Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Yeah, there will be an answer, let it be Let it be, let it be Let it be, let it be Whisper words of wisdom, let it be...
(Wait. We're not done yet.)
Let it be, let it be Ah, let it be, yeah, let it be Whisper words of wisdom Let it be

Obviously...
The Beatles
Let It Be doesn't bother me nearly so much as Revolution, but no, it's not a favorite.
Your posts were
Walking in the wind Walking in the wind Walking in the wind
This isn't the one I was looking either:
from "Bodies" by Drowning Pool
Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the flooooor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the flooooor Now!
Nor do I think you meant this one
From "Rock and Roll All Night" by Kiss
You keep on shouting, you keep on shouting I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day I wanna rock and roll all night and party every day
But it was like those, and I remember you saying you didn't like it. Maybe it was irritating song of the day.

I like "Let It Be"; it's probably one of my favorite Beatles songs - it came to mind though, because I either heard or read that it made it on of those list things like 'the 100 most repetitive songs of all time' or some such thing. I like "Bodies" and "Walking in the Wind" too; the Kiss song, I don't remember posting, and had to be digging pretty deep for that one!
Most songs are repetitive in some degree - it's what makes them catchy....sometimes way too catchy.
For "Beatles" I'll go with the Anti-Beatles group of the time...

Traveling Wilburys - Bob Dylan, George Harrison, Jeff Lynne, Roy Orbison, and Tom Petty. "Wilbury" was a slang term first used by Harrison during a recording - it referred to recording errors created by faulty equipment and Harrison jokingly said "We'll bury 'em in the mix". The "Wilbury" stuck.

Your friend may have been right - they sure weren't the prettiest. But there was an awful lot of talent there too. They only did two albums - Roy Orbison died before the second one came out.

Neil Young - There are a lot of people who think he's great. When he's singing as a soloist, I'm not one of them. I can't listen to an entire album, but I really like Harvest Moon and some of the songs he's written.

Same.
Also feel that way about...
Bob Dylan
...much better songwriter than a singer, in my ears.

Third person in the category...Paul Williams
He's a great writer - Three Dog Night's "An Old Fashioned Love Song", Helen Reddy's "You and Me Against the World", David Bowie's "Fill Your Heart", and the Carpenters' "We've Only Just Begun" and "Rainy Days and Mondays". He wrote "Evergreen" from A Star Is Born (Barbra Streisand), for which he won a Grammy for Song of the Year and an Academy Award for Best Original Song; and "Rainbow Connection" from The Muppet Movie. He sang most of those first but somehow it seems to me that everyone else sounded better.
