Just out of curiosity, why would you be talking about her? She became an animal activist after she quit music. Her third attempt at suicide worked - she went out to her favorite spot in the woods and fed peanuts to the squirrels. Accompanied by her furry friends, she killed herself with a pistol.
Del Shannon - His real name was Westover. He was born in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and grew up in Coopersville. He had a problem with alcoholism and then depression. He committed suicide in 1990 using his .22-caliber rifle. The Traveling Wilburys honored him by recording a version of "Runaway".

My co-worker sings to me....and I have to try to guess what song it is, and sing along; it's his version of Irritating song of the day. It's always some song from decades ago, or something so obscure only five people on the face of the earth have ever heard it. The other day went something like...
"What song am I singing?"
"I dunno, you must be singing it wrong."
"Come on...you should know this; didn't you ever listen to punk?"
"No. Something from the Sex Pistols? The Plasmatics...oh, wait! You're Wendy O. Williams!!!"
"Lemme go grab a chainsaw from the barn and start cutting stuff up."
"Good. While you're at it, the wisteria could use some trimming."
Maynard Keenan...song writer and vocalist for Tool, also from Grand Rapids.

You have more than one person who does that to you? It's not necessarily a bad thing - you can swap out one irritant for another.
Grand Funk Railroad (my link was the word "Grand", but they're from a city in Michigan too.)

Linus and Lucy – most people consider it to be the theme song; it’s the jazz piano piece that starts the Peanuts Christmas and Halloween specials, and is used in the majority of their shows.

The rain after the heat, humidity, and drought must have been welcomed. So welcomed, in fact, that perhaps it'll be a memorable event. You'll all be sitting around this time next year, reminiscing, and someone will say, "You remember when....

Oh it was! So was the change in temperatures! It dropped into the 70s - a welcome relief. The flickering electricity was not bad enough to offset the benefit of cooler air. And then, best of all, we got a wonderful

("Ride Like the Wind" trivia: Christoper Cross was tripping on acid when he wrote it. The song is also dedicated to Lowell George of Little Feat, who died shortly before Cross released the album the song is on.)
