Well, maybe we got lucky. But I'm gonna be a little leery for a few days all the same.
Gonna go read and maybe watch some TV. I rewatched 'Wonderfalls' on DVD the other day. I love that show. I don't know what other show/s it was across from that I preferred, but it didn't deserve to get canceled so soon. When I watch the last ep I just want to cry. I want MORE! I want MORE!
I highly recommend everyone rent/buy the DVDs. We could have a discussion thread for the eps.
Laters, all. If we're still here that is.

Sorry Phalon but I'm getting a case of the sleepies. Hope there were no problems with the ride, BF, exBF, or what ever he is now. At least your food bill should go down - or do you feed ex-BFs too?

Whatever he is right now to her, he is a turd in my eyes, (and I'm being really nice and using restraint saying that). So is Keri's now boyfriend/ex-boyfriend. He dumped her last night.....well, not dumped exactly; neither of the girls have been dumped. It's more like 'let's take a break for a while because it's summer, and there's the beach loaded with gobs of young girls in bikinis, and I am a teenage boy with raging hormornes; we can still see each other whenever the whim hits me because I'm bored or the young girls in bikinis on the beach are too smart to fall for my sweet talking, and while you are an intelligent girl, I know you will come running back the second I call.'
LX's boyfriend did the same thing. Teenage girls can be so stupid; teenage boys are turds.
So sorry, Stepper, that I didn't make it back last night. I had emotional clean-up to do.

LOL! I'm sorry - I know it's not really funny, but we've ALL had to go through this one way or another. It's part of learning who and what to avoid for girls - and for boys, well, hormornes are a form of anesthesia. They turn the brain off faster than white lightening. You forget things like the fact you are with several other boys (not a problem unless you're the one driving), that you are in public, that you are drooling, and that your ex who knows too much about you could very well be on the beach someplace talking to those bikini clad girls who aren't going to like what they are hearing. (I see...during school he used you to help himself get better grades and rides, but now that it's summer he doesn't need you....until fall when school starts up again.) Boys hate it when girls compare notes. Girls expect consistency and boys have no idea what that is, nor do they realize the girls might have expectations of their own.
I imagine it's hard to explain "You're thirteen. In three weeks we'll be doing this again with yet another boy you thought was the love of your life." What do you do besides listen and reassure them it'll pass? How much do you explain to a teenage girl?

Ah, thirteen! Those were the days; everything was so easy then. She’s just shy of being 16, bordering on being incorrigible, and life is becoming a nightmarish melodrama, (for me).
You explain everything….and hope that an ounce of it sinks in.
Now, I’m outta here, and off to work where the plants don’t always listen either…..but at least they don’t talk back!
To anyone who stops in this beautiful Monday: Enjoy the day!

I always told my niece, that if it's meant to be, it'll be. If it isn't, you just have to deal with it and try and let it go in order to move on to what will be.

I _FINALLY_ got internet just a couple of hours ago, but there's a movie coming on I want to see, so I shall return in a few. I hope. I got a new internet gadget, so I shouldn't have any problems getting back online later.

Ah, but she's your daughter so I'm sure she'll be no problem at all, and these will all soon be fond memories of "the good 'ole days".

That rumbling got me out of bed this morning so that I could unplug the computer. It didn't last long though.

I haven't heard any rumbling yet, but it's looking a lot like rain outside ... and I really should pop in the 'Twilight Saga' VHS and do what I didn't do last weekend.

Looks like my posting time has just be cut short this morning.

I nearly jumped out of my chair quite a few times yesterday. It stormed off and on for most of the day.
Just to let everyone know - Stepper's going to be gone for a while. I got an e-mail from him explaining his home computer is in need of repair, will be out of commission until a part he ordered comes in, and he's unable to post from work.

I'm off to bed. Well, maybe. I might read, or watch TV, or whatever. I should go to bed early though. I've stayed up late the past few Saturday nights, and I've yawned all through Church on the past few Sunday mornings. My pastor is no doubt ready to get out a squirt gun to keep me awake during his sermons.

Oh, great. My lights just went off for a few seconds. I really hate when that happens. Gave me a heart attack. Glad my PC and internet are on battery backup. Guess God is telling me to go to bed!
