Well, well, hello to all out there! Obviously I'm new here. Yall can use this as a Q&A (questions and answers.) thread as well as just to say hello. Oh, the wording in parentheses (Hey! I spelled it right!) is kinda for my benefit as I'm a bit of a scatterbrain at times. You'd think my slogan would be "Oh yeah..." in the forgetful tone of voice. But I'll list a few things first then yall can go on and ask questions from there if you'd like to. No pressure. My real name is April, but online I go by Meg (short for Megara), due to her being one of my favorite Disney girls, and the fact that I can role play her to a T. I'm currently 24, and live with my parents, two younger sisters, two dogs, and two cats in the state of Michigan. I have 28 first cousins alone, on just my moms side. Forget diamonds! Chocolate is this gals best friend! We don't have a TV connection, so please do not assume I know all of the TV shows out there. I love art. It's something I'm good at. Well, the graphics and drawing. Not so much the writing as everything I start out writing ends up as pictures. I plan on making a Xena costume. And if yall want to see pictures when I finish making it (like my dentist, doctor, family, and a few online friends do.) I'll be happy to show away! Now if you like you can start a Q&A or just comment to what I told. Couldn't tell all in one post (wouldn't be fun) and I don't think I'd have enough remaining characters to type. So...the choice is yours! ;D

Welcome to Whoosh, Meg. (Who's Megara, btw - I can't place the name in any of the Disney movies that come to mind...probably because I'm scatterbrained myself.)
Glad to have you here. We're a pretty amicable bunch, if not also somewhat quirky at times.
And certainly - I for one, would like to see your Xena costume. I made one for my daughter once, many Halloween moons ago. It turned out cute - but she was a little girl then, and I don't sew. I ended up doing a fair bit of modification to Xena's outfit to end up with something appropriate for a six year old to wear outside in October, and something that the needle and thread challenged could accomplish without too much frustration.
Look forward to seeing more posts from you.

Quirky is good. Isanity runs in my family, well more so moms side. We always say to know if your boyfriend or girlfriend is a keeper they have to pass the King test. King is my moms maiden name. So, if the family chatter, and craziness don't drive 'em away then they are a keeper. Though personally I've never had a boyfriend. Would I like one? Yes. I'll add you to the list of people who want to see my Xena costume. This may come as a surprise, but I've never sewn anything but buttons onto a shirt. This will be my first real project. Expecting some swatches in the mail so I know which fabric will be better. If all goes well I think I just might see if I can make Jeannie's evil twin costume from I Dream Of Jeannie (I do not have blonde hair.) and perhaps Capt. Janeway's uniform from Star Trek: Voyager. I love acting and dressing up. It is SO much fun! Once I wore a costume I have all day long, even walked up an down the street in it. Told ya insanity ran in the family. As far as who Megara is, well your answer can be found by the links posted above. The leading lady in Disney's Hercules. Also my current avatar. Soon to change once I find a picture of Xena I like and fiddle 'round in PSP (paint shop pro). I'm looking forward to more posting here too! It is very nice to meet you too!

It does at that, but Meg is shorter, and backwards it spells gem. Aside from that I like the line: "Megara, but my friends call me Meg, at least they would if I had any friends..." Yes, I like Hercules. Not just because he reminds me of Superman, but I have a love for Greek Mythologly. (and I still can't spell that word right!) Author? No. Authoress, kinda, but not really. I kept trying my hand at fan ficts (Teen Titans, Hercules, Star Trek, even cross overs), but I'd end up drawing what I wrote instead of finishing up writing, or sometimes I'd act it out. I did once try writing an actual book, but got the same end result: Pictures/drawings. No, I did not put them on Deviant Art, though I should have. Now they are lost. I don't know if you ever saw I Love Lucy where Lucy writes a play, but as she writes she'd stop and act things out before pressing on. I saw that and I was like; 'Hey! I do that!'. Sometimes I do that before replying to a Role Play post. I like role playing. It's simply put; acting online. I'm hoping I have a seamstress in me. I can't follow a pattern, but I can see things in my mind and go from there. Though my sister (the middle one) does that best. If I had a nickle (well, let's make it a dollar...inflation an all that. ) for every time she created an outfit or drew a picture or drew a meral (sp?) on a wall from just her mind I'd be so rich. Oh! And it's nice to meet you too!

Drawing while/during/before you write can help with the story. A lot of authors do collages/scrapbooks of their books to help them. Some do knitting, jewelry making. Whatever gets the juices flowing.

Cool. Didn't know that. Thanks for that bit of information. Juices flowing. Forgive my laughter. Reminded me of a quote. I think you Xena fans know which one too.
