Flood .... been getting plenty of those in various parts of Australia lately, as the saying goes, it never rains but it pours.

Overflow
It never rains when you need it though. It would have come in handy during that big fire a few years back. I think that was in 09? About when I went offline for 15 days/nights, I think.

How'd I guess you'd say that? Personally, I'm glad seamed stockings were a thing of the past back when I had to wear a skirt everyday to work. I can't imagination the....

Frantic - As was the feral cat that got into the house and knocked things down in an attempt to get back out. I tried to steer him toward the back door from whence he came in, but he acted like I was the witch from Hansel and Gretel and was trying to get him into the oven. When I got him out, my housecat came out from under the dining room table, with fur all puffed up, looking at me like: "Good thing you got him out when you did, cause I was about to give him the sharp end of my claws." Me: "You ain't got no claws, nimrod!"

I thought so too. (Well, once I got the cat back outside.) I was trying to find a way to work the story in, and you just gave me the perfect in.

Dance..probably not something many people would think of but watching some of the newer dance steps the youngin's do, that's the word that comes to mind. How'd I guess you'd say that? Personally, I'm glad seamed stockings were a thing of the past back when I had to wear a skirt everyday to work. I can't imagination the.... frustration..at trying to get those danged seams straight. I wouldn't know about this personally, but during WWII silk was in short supply which meant that stockings were hard to come by. Ladies used to paint a line down the back of their legs to make it look like they were wearing stockings. All you needed was a friend who could could draw a straight line and had a magic marker (brown or black). I hear they sometimes used eye liner too. And what do you do when the war is on and you are dressed to the nines? You go dancing!
