I never heard the story, or received an e-mail with the pictures of the fairy as the Hoax Slayer website suggests was passed around the world over.
Actually - I like these sites - "Hoax Slayer", "Snopes", and the like, although I'm not one to two minute drill them. Someone usually has to point the slain urban myth out to me. All too often the Gullible Travels via e-mail with a destination of my inbox; I often fall for these "amazing pictures" without looking into it any further.
I wouldn't have believed the Derbyshire Fairy though, had I received an e-mail about this "amazing discovery" (at least I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have)....although it'd be fun to think fairies resided in the garden.
And if they did, I'd prefer the inhabitants of my garden to be a bit less crispy.
