Hey, everyone.
Here I sit at the Coffee Beanery at the grocery store on a lap top I really don't know how to use, (my excuse for any typos today). Killing two birds with one stone - we needed eggs and milk, and there was a couple of things I had to get done on the computer today.
The snow and ice has taken it's toll here. Ice build-up under the flashing on our roof, found its way under the shingles and into the mud-room as a steady flow of water....luckily it's contained to just that one room.
The storm also took out our Internet service; my provider says with the holiday and all the other service calls it may take up to a week to get it back.
But it's Christmas Eve!!! The girls are excited; BP still believes in Santa. And I get to see my family. We are leaving Friday to do the over the river and across the state to Grandmother's house trip, (actually my brother's house - but Grandma will be there).
I just wanted to stop in and wish everyone a very Merry Christmas, and I hope your holiday celebrations are the best ever.

The temperature dropped back below freezing so that the rain falling from the in my mudroom has subsided. My Internet service is back; it probably came on while I was typing yesterday's message at the coffee shop - at first I couldn't get a connection there either.
The girls had a wonderful Christmas morning as did Hubs and I. I think we pulled off the "Santa" thing for the last year....too many questions from BP as logic has started to prevail over fantasy. Oh, but Katina....wait...uhm...er...nevermind...I'm obviously not thinking clearing; maybe it's because I'm hungry. Yep, that's it, I bet.
It's about time to get the turkey in the oven.
Merry Christmas, Sweet Taters. (see that proves it....I can't even sign off without thoughts of food.)
