Ooooh, "Lady Sings The Blues". Good movie, but sad. And Diana Ross was absolutely amazing in it, especially considering that it was her first film.

Omg, Siren. I'm not a huge country fan, but that song is one of my all-time favorites. A friend of mine & I used to have it as part of our "repertoire" on our local coffee house gig. She played a 12-string like no one I've ever heard and sang the most amazing harmony on that song...
You always spark such memories for me...*sigh*

And I'm glad you're becoming a regular here again! A coffeehouse gig? Very cool! I'd like to hear more about that. Cat Stevens - what a beautiful man he was. I'm glad, quetta. And I'm glad you're becoming a regular here again! Thank you, Siren. It's good to be back. Old friends tend to be that way. Sometimes you go for long periods of time apart and then you pick up right where you left off. Besides, it's that time of year again when memories flood and the weather is changing and I just wanted to feel "connected" to something familiar. Warm fuzzies for all the open arms... I think this is answer goes in another thread probably. Maybe the kitchen sink thread... Up Where We Belong ~ Jennifer Warnes & Joe Cocker (was that her last name, doesn't look right...)
