Okie From Muskogee, by Merle Haggard & Roy Burris (covered by the Dead & the Beach Boys)
We don't smoke marijuana in Muskogee We don’t take our trips on LSD We don't burn our draft cards down on Main Street We like living right and being free We don't make a party out of loving We like holding hands and pitching woo We don't let our hair grow long & shaggy Like the hippies out in San Francisco do

I aaaalmost went with "The Look Of Love", just so I could post a link to the Diana Krall version.
Oh, what the heck!
I would LOVE to have been at that show. Imagine, hearing such romantic, sexy music performed in a beautiful theater in Paris. *sigh*
But instead, I'll quote another wonderful song. I never appreciated it until I heard it sung by a lady at a little opry I used to sing at in the Ozarks. Her husband of many years was the steel guitar player. And when she sang it, she would look at him with such love.
"Waltz Across Texas" by Ernest Tubb
When we dance TOGETHER my world's in DISGUISE It's a fairyland tale that's come true And when you look at me with those stars in your eyes I could waltz across Texas with you
Waltz across Texas with you in my arms Waltz across Texas with you Like a storybook ending I'm lost in your charms And I could waltz across Texas with you
My heartaches and troubles are just up and gone The moment that you come in view And with your hand in mine dear I could dance on and on And I could waltz across Texas with you
Waltz across Texas with you in my arms Waltz across Texas with you Like a storybook ending I'm lost in your charms And I could waltz across Texas with you

I've always thought watching two people perform who have feelings for each other brings something more to the song than just music. (Does that make sense?)
from "Schism" by Tool

I agree, Gams. One of my favorite performances in that regard was a video of Waylon Jennings and Jessi Colter singing "Storms Never Last" in-concert. Waylon finally pulls his guitar aside and puts his arm around her shoulder, stroking her hair and singing to her with love and flirtation in his eyes. And she is blushing and grinning like a schoolgirl, and seems thrilled to death. As they sing the final words, he bend her back and plants a kiss on her. And this after more than a decade of marriage. It's adorable.
from "Sacred Ground" by McBride & The Ride
