from "Daylight" by Alison Krauss
DAYLIGHT falls and I'm lost in the big PARADE Hold my hand, darling, I'm afraid of the daylight. Shade is dark, Cool and languid for life or love. Safe in shadows, never stark as the daylight. As the daylight.

from "With A Song In My Heart" by Jane Froman, Doris Day, Ella Fitzgerald, and many others. I really need to learn this one. It's beautiful.
With a SONG in my heart I behold your adorable FACE Just a song at the start but it soon is a hymn to your grace. When the music swells I'm touching your hand It tells me you're standing near, and ..
At the sound of your voice heaven opens its portals to me. Can I help but rejoice that a song such as ours came to be? But I always knew I would live life through with a song in my heart for you.
next: face
Skip ahead to about 1:45 on this clip. It's sung by the wonderful Jane Froman, but lip-synced by Susan Hayward, who played Jane in the 1950 bio-pic "With A Song In My Heart".

Those were the kind of movies with music that Mom could sit and watch for hours on end, Siren. She'd always comment by telling little stories about the actors, and what was going on in her world when she first saw the movie. It was fun; I miss that.
from "Through Glass" by Stone Sour
How do you feel? That is the question But I forget.. you don't expect an easy answer When something like a soul becomes Initialized and folded up like paper dolls and little notes You can't expect a bit of hope So while you're outside looking in Describing what you see Remember what you're staring at is me

Oh, a chance to use a song I absolutely love to hear!!! And the eye-candy!!! This has got to be one of the prettiest alt-rock bands ever. Chris Cornell from Soundgarden, Audioslave, etc., and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam - their looks are doubly delicious together, and Cornell's fine whine with Vedder's deeper vocals combine perfectly. I wish they would have collaborated more often.

I don't mind stealing bread From the mouths of decadence But I can't feed on the powerless When my cup's already overfilled, But it's on the table The fire is cooking And they're farming babies While slaves are working Blood is on the table And the mouths are choking But I'm going hungry
