I think it's funny how this and the other music threads make me think of songs I haven't heard in years....like this one:
from "Nutbush City Limits" by Bob Seger (originally by Tina Turner about her hometown, but Seger's version is the one I remember - from when I was about in 5th grade, and my best friend's older brother used to blare his "Beautiful Loser" 8-track constantly).
Got to watch out for the police Drivin' through Nutbush Got to watch out for the police If you're drivin' through Nutbush
Watch out for the police Watch out for the police Keep an eye out for the police Keep an eye out for the police An eye out for the police

It's on the tip of my brain, but not quite there - one line from a song is all I've got, and for the life of me, I can't remember who sang it...or even if I've got the words right.
Hopefully, it'll come to me during the day....or someone else will post something.

Siren to the rescue! I never did think of that song, though another one did come to mind - I'm surprised it didn't pop into my head immediately; I hear it often enough from Hubs. Sometimes, when the girls and I are having "a chick fest" and get to jabbering without taking a breath, Hubs will walk by and whisper a line from a 10cc song....'requesting quiet, requesting quiet'.

Your Flag Decal Won't Get You Into Heaven Anymore ~ John Prine
While digesting Reader's Digest In the back of a dirty book store, A plastic flag, with gum on the back, Fell out on the floor. Well, I picked it up and I ran outside Slapped it on my window shield, And if I could see old Betsy Ross I'd tell her how good I feel.
But your flag decal won't get you Into Heaven anymore. They're already overcrowded From your dirty little war. Now Jesus don't like killin' No matter what the reason's for, And your flag decal won't get you Into Heaven any more.
