Uhm, yes, I'm sure.
One of my favorite runs about time; it's fun to sing along with...
from "In the End" by Linkin Park
It starts with One thing, I don't know why It doesn't even matter how hard you try Keep that in mind, I designed this rhyme To explain in due time All I know Time is a valuable thing Watch it fly by as the pendulum swings Watch it count down to the end of the day The clock ticks life away It's so unreal Didn't look out below Watch the time go right out the window Trying to hold on but didn't even know Wasted it all just to Watch you go

Here's a song that contains my favorite misheard lyrics: "Left with a heart exhausted" changed into "Left with a heart of sausage" sung by BP. Just yesterday, in fact, she was writing a song list for LX to make a CD for her, and asked the name of "the sausage song".

On the day that you were born the angels got together. And decided to create a dream come true. So, they sprinkled moon dust in your hair of gold, And star-light in your eyes of blue. That is why all the girls in town follow you all around. Just like me, they long to be close to you.

I'm not a serious fan of the many TV talent and shows, but sometimes I will scan Youtube in search of the occasional gem, especially if it's got a lot of hits. It was one such search that led me to one of those gems. Her name was Janey Cutler and she was on Britain's Got Talent. They show quite a few children on these shows and for the most part they are children with a wonderful talent, but they are still children. Janey was definitely not a child. She was an 80 year old lady who was nearly as diminutive as a child. As the scene starts from the audience perspective, there's a slight delay while a hand appears pointing the way to the "X" where the entertainers are supposed to stand, some light laughter, and then one of the stage personnel takes her arm and escorts her to center stage. Everyone reacts appropriately (she is a true British mum after all) and as she responds to the few pre-act questions it's obvious she's a real character - the audience is on her side. Then it's time for her to show what she's got. What she's got is pretty darned good - good enough for a standing ovation - one that I agreed with. They called her 'plucky' but in this case that's just another word for "someone I'd like to know." She didn't win, but she was good enough for the 'after season tour' with the rest of those who appeared in the finals. There's even a 'No Regrets' youtube channel in her honor - not bad for an eighty year old huh. Janey died about a year later in Aug 2011 but her zest is preserved in video. So here she is my friends; maybe not quite so famous of most of the singers we chose for this thread, and a song that is not so well known as some of the songs we chose, but memorable non-the-less.
No Regrets - Janey Cutler
Life still goes on Yes, even though love has gone One last kiss Shrug and sigh No regrets even though it's goodbye

How did you know that? It's not that I mind anyone else doing it; it's just my preferred way to go; I tend to make things harder on myself.
from "The Clincher" by Chevelle
I'll stand for nothing less Or never stand again These are the limits when one's buried This body's left the soul Could we have known Never would I have helped to nail down Careful of drifting off Now losing taste and touch Turning a pale blue leaning in to say This body's left the soul The brain needs oxygen Can't sneak around this bait His catacomb has got me by the chin This body's left the soul
