Want your work (manuscript/art) critiqued by Whoosh! Members? Do one or more of the following:
You can upload your works at the Whoosh! Private MSN Group. (Or you can upload your works at the Whoosh! Public MSN Group if you don't mind nonWhoosh members being able to view them.)
Writers can upload their manuscript doc/txt here:
Artists can create an album to upload their artwork here:
You must be a member of both the Whoosh! Private MSN Group & the Whoosh! Public MSN Group and logged in in order to be able to upload or download documents. You must be logged in to upload images, but not to view them. (If images have been uploaded to a document folder, then you _do_ have to be logged in to view them.) Writers can upload their fanfic as either a .doc, .htm, or .txt document.
Those who know HTML can create a webpage in notepad saved as text (.txt), and when uploaded into a "Documents Folder" at the MSN Group, it will pop up as a webpage when someone clicks on the link. You can also create an album to upload any images to be used on your "text" webpage.
Artists can upload their artwork as a .jpg, .gif, .tif, .bmp, or .png file.
***You must be a member of this ProBoard to be accepted at the Whoosh! Private MSN Group, and you need to PM either LeGig or myself to let us know what username you went by when you requested membership.***
Member comments should be polite, and contain a list of good points along with the bad. Just tell as honestly and compassionately as possible, your likes and dislikes of the Artist's or Writer's work. And don't get upset if your comment isn't taken into consideration, as it is the right of the Artist/Writer to discard comments they don't agree with.
Artists & Writers should not let negative comments discourage them. Just mull the feedback around in your head for a brief moment, then in a week or two reread the comments to get a fresher look at the member's views. Once you've stepped back and then reexamined the feedback, you might just gain some insight that you missed before.
- Create a thread/poll and post the URL to the story/image that you want feedback on, if it is on the internet somewhere.
- Create a thread/poll and post your work within the thread/poll for others to add their feedback in.
- Upload your work at one of the MSN Groups and add the URL to the story/image in a thread/poll on this board.
