Great news about your mom!
I'm good....stalling actually. Writing an article for a magazine...or supposed to be. I really want this one - it's a prestigious magazine that I admire. Deadline is Friday. And I'm stuck. Grrrr.

You write articles? That is so COOL! What's the article supposed to be about...? Maybe I can help ya get unstuck.

I get an occasional article published. I haven't sent one anywhere in about a year though...until this winter. That was my goal - to start writing articles again (aside from a blog). I've got four out there, waiting to hear word on from editors. Long process that can take up to six months.
This one is about the symbiotic relationship between trees and man...specifically urban trees.
And damn, the longish post I just typed into the winter thread here disappeared when I got kicked off the board for a second. Pfft.

Trees and man, huh? Sounds interesting to me.... don't know anything about it, though, so I can't be much help... sorry. I'm sure you can get past the stuck...ness. lol.

You sneaked in on me. Quit doing that - it's bad enough I've got this invisible double following me around.
Thanks for the offer though! I've gathered all the information I need - I just need to put it all in cohesive words and tie it together. HA! I'll be stuck in the stickiness 'til something breaks loose. Maybe all I need is a little WD-40.
It would also help if I could spell correctly tonight.

But I _like_ sneaking up on people. Being snuck up on is a different matter.

I'll be stuck in the stickiness 'til something breaks loose. Maybe all I need is a little WD-40. It would also help if I could spell correctly tonight. That reminds me of something Ellie said once. "All I need is wd-40 and duct tape. Cuz if it doesn't move and it should, wd-40 can fix it, and if it moves and shouldn't, duct tape can fix it." I think she read it somewhere, but when I went into her toolbox to look for a wrench the other day, sure enough, there was wd-40 and a roll of duct tape in the bottom! Anywho. We all have days when we can't spell, if it makes you feel any better. Since you do articles a lot, I'm sure you can figure this one out!

LMAO. Yes, Joxie - being snuck up upon is just wrong, wrong, wrong. HA! We will never agree on that one. It's SNEAKED! Yep, Gabs - Hubs is a follower of the 'duct tape fixes everything' theory. Did you know that duct tape now comes in skin color. Think about it...it's pretty scary, actually. Well, ladies - I'm off. Maybe I can get one decent paragraph in tonight and the rest will follow. If not, bed is sounding pretty good. Sweet dreams. storage.proboards.com/893671/images/ljxEFlZASExudmonnAMT.gif[/mgi]

Other than I can't breathe through my nose and I'm sneezing nonstop, I'm okay. I knew I shouldn't have made that quick trip outside without my earmuffs on. Had to chase a possum off the back porch. He was eating the cat food.

well shame on that possum. I hope you feel better. I think Ellie might have given me her flu, because I can't breathe through my nose at the moment either.

I'm using a saline nasal spray, and I'll take a 24-hour allergy pill when I go to bed, so hopefully I'll be breathing again in no time.
