Yes. The reason I'm having hot flashes is because I _stopped_ taking hormones. I started taking hormones when I was 16 because I still hadn't started my period. A few years ago I had tests run that showed I have fibroids ... which my doctors told me were not due to synthetic hormones ... and I was taken off of my hormones to stop the bleeding. Blood feeds fibroids, causing them to grow. After a while, more tests were run, and my fibroids had shrunk, one even went missing.
My OB-Gyn gave me a script for a weaker hormone, but a little while after taking it I noticed spotting, and I decided I wasn't going to risk the fibroids growing again, so I stopped taking them. My sister refuses to take them for her hot flashes due to side effects, despite my having taken them for most of my life.
I also blame the hormone pills for my sinus problems. I didn't have problems with my sinuses until I started taking hormones. I took Premarin & Provera for the majority of my life, then switched to PremPro to stop my periods ... though just stopping the hormones altogether would have done the same thing, and my hot flashes would be a thing of the past. Now that I'm off hormones, and haven't taken an allergy pill in close to a week, I'm not having any ill effects with my sinuses. We'll see what happens when the weather changes.
Premarin uses urine from pregnant mares, and Provera uses urine from pregnant sows. Can't blame me for not wanting to start taking those ever again.

How very rude of it! Ah HA! You're not supposed to snort them! Even I know that! How do you explain to your friends that your job is collecting pee from pregnant animals and your company uses that as an oral medication? And how do you apply for that job? Do you get a lead on that from your high school counselor when they have career day and talk to you about what you're going to do after graduation?
"Um Billy, I see you're in the, um, upper nine tenths of your class! We have some potential job offers for people in your category and you won't even have to attend college! Have a seat next to June; she's going to be a chicken sexer."

I'd been taking them for a while before I learned what was in them. Would have preferred not to have taken them at all.
I'm sure there's a really cool title that goes along with the job that hides the true nature of it.

The word "Premarin" is a cleverly disguised euphemism derived from pregnant mare urine.
Billy might not have received a college education, but he's certainly no dummy, and is laughing at anyone who thought he was...laughing all the way to the bank. Urine farming is multi-billion dollar business.
Not such a laughing matter for the horses though. Billy's mares are not making any money for him if they're not pregnant, so they are bred over and over again throughout their shortened life spans. They must not be allowed to run loose in a field either, lest a precious drop of money-making urine fall uncollected. They are kept in narrow stalls, and harnessed with urine collection bags; horse pregnancies last about a year. And what becomes of all those foals of all those pregnant mares used to make all that Premarin. They are just a byproduct.
Lots of controversy over this one. At one time there were over 50,000 pregnant mare urine farms in the United States. Outcry over the animal abuse has caused most (if not all?) of the farming to be done in Canada or overseas.

How awful, especially when there is a plant-based hormone. So glad I'm not taking that anymore. I wonder if I should try the plant-based hormone and see how that works on my hot flashes?

IMHO, I suspect that the people making the money aren't the ones at the business end of collecting materials. I envision this to be something like the cocaine business. Those who grow and transport do not reap the lions share of profits.
The statement "There's a buck to made here." has the unhappy affect of numbing morals and consideration for any other living creature. Ask the mink, or the beaver, or the buffalo. Our history is rife with people willing to kill off an entire species accompanied by various justifications in the name of making money.
I'd talk to a pharmacist, a doctor, a PA, someone, about efficacy and side affects. Do some Google checks first too. If it seems reasonable once you have the facts, then sure, give it shot. Just keep in mind that peyote and magic mushroom are all nature and all natural too.

I think all you guys have posted how much you all like Apple products, but I gotta say, at least where iPhones and phone plans are concerned, it's one of the biggest rackets I've ever run into.

I don't have anything by Apple. All I can tell you is that it seems they keep releasing new and 'improved' stuff every year. And from what I hear, it's all expensive.

I agree, anything having to do with cell phones is way too expensive! What follows is my own personal opinion, not to be mistaken for measurable fact in any way! Having said that though, my wife and I both have iPhones and Apple computers ... now. Why? Because I have learned over the years that Microsoft is definitely not to be trusted. While Apple may not be far behind them, at least my experience has shown me that their products are easier to use, with a shallower learning curve, and more reliable. A couple of years ago, I felt I wanted to get back into PCs simply because I have a fairly large collection of DOS/Windows legacy games. I built my own computer and installed Windows 8.1, upgrading that to Windows 10 when it came out. I got ALL my old games to run with a little tinkering and was happy until recently. Microsoft came out with an update for Windows 10. The notification appeared just as I was getting ready to run a fairly recent game, Fallout 3. I installed the update and tried to start the game only to find out that almost none of my old games would run any more! Apple hasn't done that to me. Everything that is on my iMac still runs and I am finding more and more older games that also run on my iMac under OSX with no problem. I can't run all my old Windows games but Masters of Orion 2, an old DOS game, runs just fine. Unfortunately, it has been encapsulated in another program to allow it to run on the Mac but it still runs. I just don't trust Bill Gates as far as I can throw him.

Sadly, I got an iPhone in late Winter/early Spring ... because my sister and her family all have one. They are far more expensive than I have forked over in the past, and since it is a Straight Talk, I have limited, to no, service at home, or locally. My cheapy cell phone had great service, no matter where I was.
I figure, once I've used this to get back what I paid for it, I'll get another cheaper android.

I've heard this about 10 - and I heard that they have a fix for that but it's a for fee add on. And yes, I think it's very slimy of them.
Their business model does seem to begin with "delete morals - think profits only".
There are several less expensive options - start shopping now and you'll be ready when the time comes. Some places will even let you trade in or outright sell your current phone in the process of acquiring the new one.

I don't like the way the announcer sounds. It's hard to watch the video when the person speaking irritates you. Or is that what you meant? I was thinking you meant the way the doll sounded.

To me it sounds like a poorly modulated computer generated voice. Or a real person trying to disguise their voice.

I think it's a real person trying to keep emotion out of their voice. Trying to do a monotone?

That could be Joxcee.
I saw something on the net today - a comment from a person in NC claiming that autumn is clearly on the way there, and the poster said to expect full color in about two weeks.
