Yep! That's the Paul of which I'm thinking. Wasn't trying to stump--he's just the first one that came to mind (after Burt, of course).

Looks like we're stuck, Q. Let's move the game along by going with...
Burt Reynolds

Yay Siren, way ta go. Hey, anyone wanna change this up a bit [ yes, no, maybe, take a hike bozo ] Anyway if this doesn't appeal just go back to the way it was okay. Playing off Burt Reynolds, I'm an actor who starred with him as one of a group of friends who embark on an adventure that turns deadly, unfortunately I don't make it back but perish along the way ............ I am?

WHAT, who gave you permission to do that. ;D Thanks Jox, was gonna ask you if you could move those others threads over as well but see you beat me to the punch. Guess Dolly would be the most obvious answer, but I'll go instead with the excellent character actor ................. Charles Durning.

Your 'who am I' query is what got the ball rolling on the other threads. I remembered we already had such a game ... just had to find and move them.

Fascinating fellow, Charles Durning. He first stepped in front of a camera when he was 40+. (Keep chasing your dreams, folks!) Before that, he was a dance instructor, pro boxer, and a WWII veteran who survived D-Day and time as a P.O.W.

I think Siren's flip and thud had much to do with her choice of Robert Redford

You have a remarkable memory kat. She was Judith, the one who was killed early in the film. Nearly everyone remembers Scarlett Johansson who had the more extensive role but few have your acumen for cinematic detail. I'd love to get you and Siren in the same room so I could listen in to that movie conversation.

Thanks mate, though have to admit this one was as much down to my Holmes like deductive powers then cinema knowledge. Remembered Kristin Scott Thomas, Dianne Wiest and of course Johansson but couldn't recall another female role so figured she may have been the girl at the beginning ............. elementary really. Now if I could just recall another film that Bosworth's been in I'd have this one completely solved, but alas and alack I can't. P.S. I would love to get in a room with Siren and discuss movies, would be an education I have no doubt, her eye for detail, especially regarding older films is second to none.

You two are so kind. Thank you! My breadth of movie knowledge is pretty narrow, time-wise. But thank you for the very nice compliments. Makes me feel good!
I remember Kate in the Bobby Darin biopic, "Beyond The Sea".

I remember Kate in the Bobby Darin biopic, "Beyond The Sea". Which also featured John Goodman, I believe. Personally, I'd love to hear Siren on music as well as movies!

Personally, I'd love to hear Siren on music as well as movies! And food. John Goodman, lot of choices there, how about ............. Sea of Love. Anybody catch him in the TV series "Damages" he was a right nasty piece of work in that.

I thought "Soul Surfer" was surprisingly good. And I thought it was nice that they left the girl's strong religious convictions in the story. And not because I'm religious. (I'm not.) It's just that since the girl is very religious in real life, I thought it was cool that she and her family didn't allow that to get left out of the movie in order to make it more "mainstream" at the box office.
