Hey all, this is my first time on the forums, it looks like this is going to be fun. I'm not too frequent of a forum-user, generally, but still, how can I not sign up?
I guess I'll say a little about me and X:WP. I can be kind of long winded, so don't say I didn't warn you.
Hmm. I used to watch reruns of it, a while back, when it still aired on stations that I get. I thought it was great, but watched it casually instead of following it regularly. (This was before I was in fandoms, really, too, so I didn't participate or anything. I'd just watch it on some mornings.)
And then, just over a year ago, I was reminded of the show - I think someone posted Xena graphics on their icon community - and thought it might be fun to watch sometime.
I found that X:WP was on Netflix and dove right in. But the watching was a bit sporadic, with an episode or a couple a week (or every two weeks, even), and then watching nothing for a few months. (I was in other fandoms with currently airing episodes - Skins, which just aired its final season earlier in this year...so I paid more attention to Skins at the time.) Sometimes I'd marathon it and then leave off.
But then, fairly recently, I got somewhat excited about really watching the show as a regular thing. So I wrapped up watching season one and moved on to season two, which I'm almost through with.
Now, I knew that Herc and X:WP had crossover episodes, many of which were important to the understanding of the show(s) individually. So I sought out an ordered list and found the one on this board (even though the post is locked to non-members? I don't understand why it showed up for me for a couple of days, even though I wasn't registered then). I mainly was thinking about the viewing order post, then, TBH. And I'd been visiting Whoosh but had never thought about the forums. But then I realized that it would probably be fun to participate!
— So, summed up, the short version ;B - even though I've been watching X:WP on and off for more than a year, I did it so wonkily that I am only on S2, and am therefore a total watching-newbie, in addition to being even more of a newbie when it comes to online fandom. There you go!
Anything else, ask away. :3
