You know, Joxie, that I entered this thread dragging my heels, because you know I'd know what I'd find.
You know me too well.
Yes, yes, I've noticed everyone has on their seasonal attire, and I was actually going to ask you if the Imp had been lost in the upgrade.
I'll figure it out eventually.
Yeppers, I do know you fairly well. I switched out your avatar. You can switch it out for the Turkey Leg after Halloween.
Still trying to get used to Windows 7 and where stuff is kept, trying to retrieve my lost e-mails (actually found a tutorial "how to retrieve Incredimail e-mails when hard-drive crashes" - really, that's what it's called; how handy is that? Got lost on the first step, though, and have to find a tutorial on how to complete that). Oh, and here - trying to get used to the changes here too. Like where is the drop-down menu in each thread - is it gone, or I'm just not seeing it. Spell-check, my long-lost friend - are you gone too?
I hate when the changes from one upgrade to another are so drastic, and you have to relearn everything. And that is as big a hassle as switching from an old computer to a new one. I think I'm going to do like Stepper and move everything to an external hard drive &/or thumb drives and keep it there. And keep backup copies on DVDs &/or extra thumb drives.
The drop down menu is now at the top of the page. It's on the white bar under the blue bar. Just hover over either "Whoosh!" for other board options, or the "..." to go back to the board this thread is on. Just hover over things and click on links to see what they do. Be very careful not to click on the word "Delete," unless that's what you mean to do.
What is a BBCode? I keep thinking I'll click on that and end up watching old Dr. Who reruns on the British Broadcasting System.
BBCode is the code you use to center your text/image, choose a font face, font size, font color, quote, add a video, etc. They've made changes to them. I have to use [font size="3"] now instead of [size=3]. And that's an easy one. Some of the others have gotten even harder than that. So, I usually type my post in the "BBCode" box, then click on "Preview" and click back on "BBCode" before creating my post. That usually switches the old code for the new, and I try to remember the changes for next time. I may just give up and start using the buttons.
