LX and I were driving out in the country yesterday, and I started commenting on the "weird" stuff people put out in their front yards as decoration - "weird" only because everyone has different tastes, and mine is not theirs. Obviously someone has a taste for plastic swan planters filled with plastic flowers or they wouldn't make plastic swans, and fake flowers.
Along with the plastic swans with plastic flowers, we passed...
A tractor tire....filled with plastic flowers, (the fake flower store must have had a sale recently).
A porcelain toilet used as a planter; at least it wasn't plastic, and the flowers were real.
Boulders lining a garden bed....painted a hideous puke-green color. Why would you take the time to paint boulders? The paint store must have had a sale recently.
A horse watching television....
A horse?! Watching television?! I did a U-turn because surely I didn't see what I thought I saw. We drove by a second time....and after another U-turn, a third time and pulled over just to...I dunno...have a good laugh.
I may need glasses, but this time my eye-sight was spot-on. The house had glass sliding doors in front, and inside, we could see the glow of a big-screen T.V.. The horse - a real, live horse - had its face pressed up against the window, watching television.
Or maybe it just wanted inside.
"Hey, Fred! The horse is at the door, begging to come inside. Let him in, will ya....
...I'm busy planting my plastic swans with plastic petunias."

Wish you had taken a picture. Or even a video clip.

I did, Joxie, with my phone.....or LX did, because....uhm...I've never used the camera feature, and... uhm....have no idea how to get it off my phone.
Did you think I was just technologically challenged with computers? Dang, it's a good thing I have kids, or I probably wouldn't even know how to use a cell phone.

You display the picture on your camera, then you get a real camera and take a REEEEEALLLY close picture and have that developed some place where they'll give you a CD. Take the CD and put it the drive and transfer the picture to your My Pictures area. Then you use your picture editor to size it down and save it with a different name. Then you sign on to Photobucket and upload it. Then you copy the link. Then you come back here and post in the link. Or give your phone to BP for a couple minutes.

The announcer's comments are funny. Guess they were just trying to call attention to the upcoming holiday. KDKA-TV, Washington, PA Edited to: Fix link. It had a quote mark at the beginning of the url that made it void. ~~ Mini-Mia
