I thought I'd have a thread for only good and positive news.

Some of those "moments" brought tears to my eyes...the good kind of tears.
Thanks for posting the link, Joxie. Much needed after what happened in Connecticut.

Thank you. I didn't realize how much I needed that until I saw it.

You're both very welcome. I felt the same way and had to 'pay it forward.' For every 'bad' the news should have three 'goods.'

I'm posting this a little late but had misplaced the information. I just found it, so here goes ... "Sandy Claus" delivers toys to storm-stricken children Link1Link2Link3

Those links aren't working. That's because this forum software truncates the links. I've fixed them all now.

It didn't used to. Unfortunately, there's no option where I can turn it off.

I've always wondered what that meant - "truncate" - not here, but occasionally I'll get an e-mail that says "this message has been truncated".

I've always wondered what that meant ... It means you didn't get everything that was sent ... sometimes that can be a good thing.

I wonder if the same could be applied to mortgage companies, electric companies, cable and phone companies and the like when mailing payments....send back the envelope with the bill, but no check, and mark on the envelope "this payment has been truncated".

... and mark on the envelope "this payment has been truncated". The only problem with that is that they would then send it back marked, "This service has been terminated." For some reason utilities don't mind truncating our service but if we try to truncate payment they get all upset. I guess they just can't take a joke ...

Darn it! I thought I was on to something. Damn those non-acceptors of truncated payments service providers!

It sounds like the medical term for an elephant with a cold. (Somebody had to say it.) Or maybe that's what Tim Conway was talking about in the Carol Burnett Show out take. Warning: This is funny.
