Dang, it sounds like Pirates of the Caribbean, except for the 'no follow ups'.

Is it time for a more obvious clue?
The hero intentionally poisons himself.

"I dont' mean to pry, but you don't by any chance happen to have six fingers on your right hand?" A giant leap in the right direction Ms Joxee!

As you wish....
HE DIDN'T FALL? INCONCEIVABLE.
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.
Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.
And if that doesn't do it for you, you need to watch The Princess Bride again.

Seems I am the only person who doesn't know the answer. Nope, one of at least two Gams, went right over my head as well. So who finally solved it?

She was indeed, but she also asked that someone else provide the next bad review.

She was indeed, but she also asked that someone else provide the next bad review. Well, I'm just a casual movie goer and wouldn't have any idea where to start. Besides, I liked The Princess Bride! I've been busy trying to get a website, forum, and associated website applications off the ground. The forum we are moving from is closing down in the middle of January and we are trying to get all the important posts copied over before it goes down. So far we've copied less than 550 topics (less than 3400 posts) out of 98,394 Total Posts! Somehow I think we aren't going to make it but I'm so burned out from copying posts I'm not sure I really care at this point. That's why I've taken the time to add a Blog, a CMS, and a Wiki as well; some things the original website didn't have.

Spock: Save the Topic pages to a folder on your computer and you'll have them long after the site closes. You can then copy/paste from them at your leisure. Or save them as PDF files. If you don't have a PDF creator, the two I've used are:
www.primopdf.com/ www.pdf995.com/

My iMac will save word processing files as a PDF without any other software and we are saving the topics to a computer, they are being saved on our hosts server. I know what you mean though. I can "Save Page As..." a "Web Page, Complete" but it keeps giving be a solid black box at the top of the page that blanks out the page heading (no great loss) and half the first post (unsatisfactory!). I suppose we could hand copy the first post and use the "Save Page As..." option for the rest but quite often, we only want a post or two out of the entire topic. When I started all this I really was under the impression they were going to just do a backup and give it to me ... stupid me. Then today I got hassled about using part of their logo in our site logo and had to take that down. Sometimes I wonder if I want to do this at all.

Great choice Scrapp' (if I'm right) this sounds like "The Remains of the Day" with Anthony Hopkins and Emma Thompson.
One of Hopkins best IMO, along with another that came out around the same time "Shadowlands" where he starred alongside Debra Winger, two films that I'm not afraid to admit can get me a bit teary.

I thought that would take longer. Yep, but as I said, big fan of that one so recognised it straight off the bat. Okay, pretty small clue but don't want to give to much away ............. A 'fake' kidnapping goes horribly wrong, leading to a number of deaths.

Whoo-hoo! I got one right! I think I'm probably the only person who hated "Fargo" - everyone always says what a great movie it was, but I thought it was incredibly boring.
Here's another movie I feel the same way about, and apparently at least one other person concurs. (We're suppose to find a one-star review, right?)
"Who likes this movie? How could you possibly make sense of a film like this?...And special effects? I don't know why they're considered so revolutionary...The best thing about this movie is that it ends (sadly after 6 1/2 hours of people climbing on mountains and staring into the sky). Photosynthesis is more fun to watch than this movie."
I edited out parts of the review that would give away the answer right away, but will add that the movie was a blockbuster, directed by one of the biggest names in Hollywood, starring a well-known Oscar winning actor in the lead role.

Noooooo Gams, how could you not like Fargo, not a huge fan of the Coen brothers myself but thought this was their piece de resistance. Right, are one of the biggest names in Hollywood, and a well-known Oscar winning actor referring to Steven Spielberg and Richard Dreyfuss by any chance?
