First thought is "stale" because it's "fresh" in my mind
This morning I had a couple breakfast taco's - but one, the edges of the shell were clearly stale. I think you should stick to the first option Phalon. I had been over thinking it - talking myself out of the obvious answer - but if you think bread (or crackers), what are the two primary words? Make sure it's FRESH because you don't want STALE bread, unless you're feeding it to birds. The other words I've been considering don't fit.
And then there's Slap! Don't get fresh with me, young man!
That's known as getting foreign - Roman hands and Russian fingers.
