Why wouldn't you show up for a couple days?
Anyway, not commiting to this yet, but my first reaction is 'spoiled'. I need to think it over a bit.

Lots of ways to go for this one...
First thought is "stale" because it's "fresh" in my mind: had some crackers yesterday that were stale because of the humidity.
But...
The opposite of fresh can also mean canned, frozen, dry, or basically processed in any way.
Fresh flowers? Wilted, spent, dried, or plain old "dead". Fake - cheap, plastic imitations.
Fresh snow? uhm...yellow snow.
Fresh laundry. Soiled.
And then there's Slap! Don't get fresh with me, young man! Well-mannered, polite, able to keep one's hands to oneself.

Phalon has it. Her turn to post a question.
Why wouldn't you show up for a couple days?
Any number of reasons: ... ... ... ... ...

This morning I had a couple breakfast taco's - but one, the edges of the shell were clearly stale. I think you should stick to the first option Phalon. I had been over thinking it - talking myself out of the obvious answer - but if you think bread (or crackers), what are the two primary words? Make sure it's FRESH because you don't want STALE bread, unless you're feeding it to birds. The other words I've been considering don't fit. That's known as getting foreign - Roman hands and Russian fingers.

How is "question" spelled?
HA!
What percent of the earth's water can be used for drinking?

40%

Tricky, but you shouldn't give potential answers in the quetion if you can avoid it. I don't know, but oceans are HUGE in comparison to fresh water sources so I'm guessing less than 10 percent.

Stepper is the closest. I would have guessed 10%...and would have been wrong, proving that at least when it comes to math, I am not smarter than a 5th grader which is no surprise.
Shall I give the correct answer?

15%?

Post by stepper on Aug 27, 2015 16:52:10 GMT -6
Correct answer? Not yet.
Since Joxcee went with 15%, I'll cover the other direction by going half way to zero and say 5%.

Oooh. I bet that is the right direction to go in.

Wow! That is NOT a very good percentage to have.

I wasn't done working towards the answer - but that's less than what I was thinking. I was headed for 3%.

I posted the link instead of the answer so you could guess some more if you wanted, but since you were closest, it's your turn ask a question.

Wait - that's not in the rules. A heptagon is a shape with how many sides? A. 4 B. 6 C. 7 D. 8 E. 9

Oh! I know this one...er...uhm...I'm pretty sure I know this one.
Joxie, you want to take a stab before I blurt out the (possibly correct) answer?

Here's a hint - it's more than three and less than 10.

Just a guess: C 7

I am (almost fairly) sure you are right.

And that would put you in the position of having to come up with another question.

I knew I was right all along.

I believe: Warlock. But your answer to my question was wrong. Georgia does touch the Gulf. I have a cousin who lives down there.

You made me verify my answer. geography.about.com/library/misc/blgulf.htmStates That Border the Gulf of Mexico Alabama Florida Louisiana Mississippi Texas Georgia is above Florida on the Atlantic. If it touches the gulf, then there's a pretty much undocumented creek that cuts through Florida - or the word Gulf doesn't refer to the Gulf of Mexico. ---------- About my question: Don't look at dictionaries because they're not always right or treat quaint local customs as if they were fact. Here's a hint, what do you call a male nurse?

We rode on a ferry, over a large body of water ... I guess I just assumed it was the Gulf. So ... okay ... carry on. I did just barely graduate high school, just so you know.
