Lovely; he's got a very pretty voice. The first time I heard that arrangement of the song was a few years on America's Got Talent or a similar show sung by a young man - I don't watch those types of shows often, but this particular performance still sticks in my head. "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" sung by Judy Garland is an all-time favorite of mine, but the different arrangement makes it seem like a whole new song.

I first heard his version was over the closing credits in the movie and I just had to look it up. The same search also said that he had died.

Sad. A quick drill shows apparently he was quite a revered man in Hawaii. The last scenes in the video you posted were thousands gathering to honor him during the release of his ashes into the ocean.

Panic in Detroit ~ David Bowie
Even though "Panic in Detroit" was recorded years before I started listening to rock radio, it was still played with consistency when I was in junior high and high-school. You could, I suppose say it was due our radio stations coming out of Detroit, but then again, songs from the "Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust", "Young Americans", and "Diamond Dogs" albums all flooded the radio stations back then, years after they were released.
What a legend.
