I haven't checked out the videos, but browsed through her blogs, reading a few here and there - fun stuff; I wish she kept it up.
We get the British versus American pronunciation thing all the time at the nursery with plant names - especially botanical Latin. The Brits are avid gardeners, and are sticklers for how to "correctly" pronounce botanical names of plants...and American gardeners, who want to appear as if they know what they're talking about (but often times do not) will insist the British pronunciation is the correct one. They don't get that it honestly doesn't matter - it's a sort of regional dialect is all. Botanical Latin is a made up language anyway, and has little resemblance to true Latin at all.
