Turn your clocks forward one hour on Saturday night, March 12th, when going to bed ... or on Sunday, March 13th, when getting out of bed. Time officially springs forward at 2:00am on Saturday night/Sunday morning.

I wish they would just split the hour in half and leave it all year round.

My personal preferance is to cancel it. With one exception I see no use for it, the exception being that on Halloween it's lighter longer which seems like it'd make it a little safer for little kids. Only a little though since here they are usually out as long as possible. Really little kids have someone with them - it's the slightly older and indestructable but I'm too cool to care kids who I worry about.

I'm in the minority it seems. Though it sometimes takes weeks for my inner-alarm clock to adjust to a single hour, I like daylight savings time. I've never minded it being dark in the mornings, but absolutely love that it stays light so long in the evenings.

For me, it's more the sudden loss of light in the fall that is irksome. I go to work early enough that it's always dark, and sometimes it's dark when I go home too. I've gone days without seeing the sun at all. Somehow when I've had a stretch like that, going to lunch or going home in time to be in sunlight catches me off guard. I'm a sucker for the cool and quiet that comes early and/or late ( great for cycle rides) - and forcing me into shifting the hours of daylight is counter productive.

I suppose if I spent a lot of time outside I'd prefer to keep the DST setup.

As with most things going on in the universe, I have an opinion and absolutely no ability to affect the situation in any way. Frequently I have to admit I'm simply along for the ride.
