Pastor Rick, on Runboard, has a list of photo share sites they allow ... and a list of ones they don't allow. The ones they don't allow have popups, and some images aren't family friendly, and I figure they'd be a no-no for us here as well. Of the ones permitted, I'm none too sure of. TinyPics is owned by PB ... so I fear using them and being back in the same boat.
Seriously thinking of just not having images anymore.
Finding a new photo-sharing site is not easy. The one recommended to me is a German site ... written in German. I think I'm gonna save all my information on my personal boards, share it on a blog/s, and get rid of all of my boards. Only have to worry about Whoosh ... problem solved.
I haven't created an account anywhere yet. However, I did upload three images to tinypic. The two Whoosh header images, and the Cold Case header image. The story train boards are now using the two newly uploaded Whoosh header images.
I've switched out all of the headers of all of the boards above "General TV." I'll start with GTv next time ... working my way down.
I haven't yet decided about smilies, avatars, and siggy banners. Everyone has the ability to upload smilies in their profiles if they can't wait for me to add any to the board.
Okay. I think I'm done with all of the headers ... let me know if you notice any problems, or the image gets hijacked. Thanks.
I am not going to go through every thread searching for hijacked images to <snip> out. At some point I will have to block PB to get rid of their images ... and to prevent future hot-linking warning emails.
Okay. Just redid all of the headers except the ones for the story trains, and Whoosh Island. Fun, fun, fun. ... I was on the Support board checking out where others were posting their suggestions for PB replacements and it was mentioned that Proboards lets you upload designing images to their theme. You can add smilies too ... looking into that.
I uploaded avatars that were made for Whoosh, so they won't disappear in the future. I saved member avatars and siggy images and will upload them to a photo sharing site once I've picked one out. Then I'll post the links in threads on the avatar & signature boards.
Not yet. My speed goes up and down. Very seldom is the icon full. They do something wait a few weeks, do something, wait ... their final step will be putting a new outlet in the house and setting up the package I want.
I just learned that forum themes can each have 500 images. So, I've created several more themes. I created one for the story trains, and I went through the Whoosher House thread to replace all the images within. --- If anyone notices messed up images/links in any of the threads on the story train, please give me a heads up. I do intend to give them a look, but I'm not rushing.
I created another theme for member banners, and another one for smilies. Will be working on getting this place looking better. --- So, if anyone has an image for a story train thread, post it where I can save it and upload it to the theme to keep it from disappearing. Thanks.

I've never really used my phone for much except as a phone, for texting, GPS, and basic features such as the alarm, calculator, calendar, camera, and such. Occasionally, I'll look something up on the Internet if I'm not near a laptop, or watch a music video. As far as working on it - like the type of stuff you're doing with switching everything from Photobucket - the tiny keyboard would drive me nuts.
I post here on my phone from time to time, but I'm not doing any of the behind the scenes stuff with my phone. The videos I try to watch are on the social media apps ... Facebook, Twitter, Instagram or YouTube. Anything other than posting and viewing would have me pulling my hair out. Using the phone is convenient at times, but I'd much rather be on my laptop for most of my internet activity. Sadly, Instagram limits what I can do on my laptop. If I want to upload images I have to use my phone. Thankfully, that isn't the case on most of the other social media sites.
Since I'm uploading the images here in the Admin section, hopefully the images are here for as long as the board is. I don't think I'll do this again. If it does happen again, we'll just have to do without any images.
Crap ... I may have spoken too soon. A few of the gifs have stopped moving, and I'm not sure if they all will. So, I'll either have to upload a few of them to a photo-sharing site, or all of them. And then have to switch out their links in the censored words list. Crossing my fingers it's just a few of them that are giving me problems.

Whew! They're moving again. I think it's because I had the pages open for so long. Once I closed the pages, waited a few minutes, and then opened them back up the images started moving again. Still have a lot more to do though ... but at least I won't have to do it all over again. So far.

Good Grief! There are 559 smilies. I've uploaded them all, but have 59 left to add to the censored word list before they'll show up in posts. I'm almost done with this board. Gotta upload and switch out images for the rest of the storyboards, and I think that will be it. Then it's off to work on another of my boards. The end is getting closer.
Thank you. I'm done with the smilies, and the smiley threads. Gotta check the story train threads and add back the code for the 'Happy Birthday' & 'Welcome' images I used to have set up. That's all I can think of at the moment that needs to be done. There are still a lot of hijacked images in posts, so I'll probably have to block Photobucket at some point to make them go away. I really don't want to have to do that, but it is what it is.
Haven't finished with the story train images yet. Mom's brother got married yet again, and he wants old family photos. Which my sister found today. And I'm scanning them in case we don't get them back. So, that will keep me from finishing here for a few days.
I got over 30 scanned, and realized they didn't look good. Had white blotches around eyes, lips, ears, etc. Finally discovered I was scanning documents to jpegs, so switched it to scanning photos to jpegs, and it was a lot nicer. Fixin' to do a 2-minute drill to see what the best format is for saving old photos. I want them the best I can get them.
