I had left over pizza today. My niece had to work today, so we are planning on having Thanksgiving on Saturday.

Hope you had a nice Thanksgiving yesterday, Joxie.
And that you got your turkey legs, Stepper.
We had a great day. LX did all the cooking, and it being her first Thanksgiving, maybe went a tiny bit overboard. OMG, there was soooo much food - an entire table of appetizers, and grazing all day, I was full even before the meal. Everything made from scratch. She turned out to be a great cook these past couple of years (after at one time, BP and I seriously thinking about entering her in that "America's Worst Cooks" competition show; her idea of cooking back then was chicken nuggets and boxed macaroni and cheese). Turns out all she needed was an actual kitchen of her own, with more than just a microwave.
A great cook, but a phenomenal baker. OMG again - homemade rolls, cornbread, apple bread, and a pumpkin-spice layer cake with sour cream icing!

I got those turkey legs thank you very much - man those things are good! As you might imagine with just Steppet and myself a large turkey lasts for days which suits me just fine. We're still feasting and enjoying every bit of it. But alas, it looks like I'm going to have to share some. A friend of ours had a difficult year last year and we shared a plate of T-Day with him and his spouse. This year they opted for ham which is fine but he keeps mentioning how great it was to get that turkey plate. He isn't saying "hint hint" but it's implied loudly. Glad to hear LX's first T-Day hosting gig went well. Did you escape with "left overs?" I came across this and somehow I just had to share it with you. www.gocomics.com/brevity/2019/11/29

Some, of course, but no turkey!!! The Boyfriend's stepdad spent Thanksgiving day with his parents, so LX and the Boyfriend did Thanksgiving for the stepdad and his girlfriend the following day - she cooked all the appetizers and sides again, except the turkey.
She and the Boyfriend came to our house on Saturday; she spent the day with me at the holiday market, and the Boyfriend hung out with the neighbor boy and watched football with Hubs. They brought all the leftovers from both dinners (including another pumpkin spice layer cake!!!) for dinner on Saturday and lunch on Sunday....but still no turkey!
OMG!!! I love it!!

I didn't take home any leftovers. I should learn to cook this meal for myself so I can eat on it for days.

Happy Thanksgiving, Joxie, and happy Thursday to our friends from foreign lands whose day today isn't a holiday.
But I've got pie for everyone! It's just Hubs and I this year, but I couldn't resist getting an apple pie from the bakery....and Hubs doesn't eat pie, so there's plenty.
Enjoy the day! (And the pie. Please.)

I'd just like to wish everyone a Happy New Year as well, think we can reasonably expect it to be better then the one just passed (fingers crossed)
"A Happy and Safe New Year to all." Moonglum
Happy New Year everyone! Be safe. The virus is mutating into something that can be spread much easier, but hopefully the vaccines can protect us from it. If not, I’m sure a new vaccine can be created quicker now.
May this year be the last year this virus keeps us from family and friends.
