Stonehenge was only one of many buildings like that spreaded above whole europe. The were built by the celtics tribes on special places so that all stonehenges together has showed the starpic of the Virgin. The celtic tribes lived at this time too above europe. It was a religion of life, so the main spiritual forces were the water, the forest and the sky. Beside them has had every animal his own meaning ( egg and snake - the sign of rebirth )
That stonehenge what is known today is the last one.

Basically these are power places that affect our DNA to prepare us for our future existence of life on earth. Science is beginning to prove some of this. DNA is light and a method of making changes in the human body.

There are many miles of energy points that converge in the British Isles and Stonehenge is one of those places and when we go there our bodies are affected on certain levels. So, what are we talking here, mutation? And what about us poor saps who don't live anywhere near the leyi lines?  Will our descendents wither away because our DNA wasn't prepared?

Sure, I laugh now, but I used to laugh at Erich Von Danniken.   Well, I still laugh at him, but not as much as I did when I first read his theories, because I later decided he might have a fraction of it right.

To be fair, it's been reported for years that Stonehenge, as well as many other sites and the ley lines, all have magnetic properties.  Even today, people will crawl through the Men-an-Tol, a standing donut-shaped stone in Cornwall, because they believe it has miraculous healing properties.  So who knows?

It still seems pretty far-fetched, but interesting to contemplate nonetheless. ;D

mutation? I don't know if I'd know that but I do believe as humans that we've yet to uncover our full pottential of using our brains to understand and we lack the spiritual. It has just been detected by scientists that 95% of junk DNA is something and a key to how we evolve. Were we genetically produced and by whom?

I think when we can have the ability to begin to consider that humans are organisms within a larger area of a life organism, the earth then in turn the plantets the sun the galaxy then life is more than just our own body. That what we do affects other things as a whole.

It's more probable that Erich Von Danniken is just another piece of the puzzle to our understanding of it all. I sure wish there were courses to take on this stuff. That's why I listen to Whitely. Following it every week you get a little of everything happening in the world and the insights from a fresh perspective that is scientific and spiritual. How could the slowing of the Gulf Stream be spiritual when the actual reality will be altered climate for Europe? But it's all connected.

It is altering their DNA on a level we haven't been able to detect and the outcome is one of a higher spiritual nature for man to come. That's my guess. That's what these power places are about. I'd love to go visit the Mayan ruins for that very reason. Those who don't visit will be taken care of as well thru the adepts that are here in life form helping us out to transition. I know it sounds really crazy and insane but there is an unseen level working and some day it will be easy for us to see it just like the nose on our own face. I'm a pretty skeptical person so to even say such stuff does sound like I'm absolutely a fruitcake but the more I've listened and searched around I can't discount any of it. I've also participated in some shamanic training over the years and have experienced things that are unexplainable. I do realize, finally, that many truths we've been fed have been nothing more than a "corruption of words".

I voted temple, but I believe things like that would serve many purposes. A place to worship as well as a way to mark the holy days (a calendar), and what temple would be a temple without some connection with healing? Spiritual healing is as good for the body as it is for the soul. Take for example a man who finally lets go of something (such as guilt) and no longer has heart trouble. Everything is definitely connected. What a fascinating conversation!

It sounds like an interesting program to listen to. Most scientists seem to think there is nothing spiritual about us, but that's probably because teachings of the most recognized religions of the world contradict too many scientific findings to be plausible. For example, the world and universe is much older than what the Bible states. But just because I don't believe the Bible is made up of an actual collection of historical documents, that doesn't mean I discount the idea of a higher power or purpose in an interdimensional universe.

We only use a small fraction of our brains, and it's already apparent that people use different parts of it more effectively than others. For instance, some people are very artistic but not very logical. Some people are very logical but have horrible penmanship. Some people are very logical but have a terrible memory. I believe that a small percentage of people in this world may also use parts of their brains that most people aren't even aware of, and that some of that small percentage also use those parts of their brains more effectively than others. I myself have had a couple of experiences (gut feelings) in the past that could be explained as paranormal intuition, unless they were major coincidences, but it is the timing of these experiences that leads me to believe they may not have been mere coincidence.

That said, we have pills to heighten or lower different chemicals produced by our brains that can alter mood or memory, etc., and I am a firm believer that my state of mind greatly affects my physical health. Our bodies will also conduct electricity, so it might not be too far of a stretch to think there could be something to the magnetic properties of those stones that can alter something in our chemical makeup and somehow heal us, whether through the mind or directly to the body.

I too believe Stonehenge served many purposes. The huge magnetic stones were brought from so far away that no one really knows how they got them there. The placement of the stones are also believed to have lined up with planetary systems or constellations back in the time it was constructed. Some parts of it were built many years after the first phase, either by descendents of the same group, or by a different group all together. Then when you add all the other sites and ley lines that connect them, you see that Stonehenge is just part of something larger.

Many believe that Stonehenge was built by the Druids, but others believe that it was built before the Druids and that the Druids later added to it, or used it in the condition they found it in. Some believe the alter was used for sacrifices, others believe it was for healing or some other use.

Considering all the factors in its construction, I definitely believe it was built to serve more than one purpose.

A Great Stonehenge Mystery Solved

The inner circle of Britain's Stonehenge is made up of about 80 giant bluestones that weigh up to four tons each. This question has baffled historians for generations: From where did those bluestones come?

A university professor is confident he knows the answer, which solves a longstanding mystery about Stonehenge, the prehistoric archaeological monument and one of the most identifiable landmarks in the world. The BBC News and the Western Mail report that Tim Darvill, a retired English Heritage archaeologist, along with a team of six researchers from Bournemouth University, has pinpointed the exact quarry in Wales from which the bluestones were extracted in 2500 B.C. and then transported 240 miles.

The site is small. Located at one of the highest points of the Carn Menyn Mountain in Pembrokeshire's Preseli Hills, it is just a single acre in size. Darvill calls the find an "Aladdin's Cave" of pillars that were practically made to size for the Stonehenge builders. Both inside and outside the enclosure are numerous pillar stones lying flat, some of which were recently wrenched from the ground and others of which have been there since ancient times.

"When we came across the enclosure we couldn't believe it. You dream about finding things like this but don't really think they exist. We have done geological and chemical tests which are still ongoing but show the quarry is the exact place," Darvill explained to the Western Mail. "Geographically, the bluestones are very distinctive and could have only come from a very certain area. We already knew it was in the Preseli Hills but the geological tests combined with the chemical test results make us sure we have found it."
Why were the stones taken from there? Darvill suspects they were regarded as holy or associated with a deity.

This newest find comes on the heels of another solution to a Stonehenge mystery: Who built it? Scientists recently found the remains of the workmen who transported the stones. Based on a chemical analysis of the skeletons' teeth, the researchers know they were from Wales. It is believed these three men, one teenager and three children--all of whom were related--carried the stones from Wales to the Stonehenge site in Salisbury Plain in Wilshire, England. The latest Stonehenge findings have been published in the journal British Archaeology.

That said, I've seen a lot of stone circles, I find them fascinating places to sit down with a book for the afternoon & have a good read. (you can't do that at Stonehenge though)

I have been there many times I worked as a tourist guide in London for 3 years and went to Stonehenge once a week with my guests

Its an incredible feeling to stand near Stonehenge ( they have closed the area because off all the ppl they are afraid it could collapse ) , I used to stand there just to breathe in the atmosfere of history
