I recommend that a first time reader read the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series before reading the Crescent City Series. I learned recently that Sarah J. Maas intends to connect all three series' together. All three series' have mentioned the ability to travel through space, from world to world, or planet to planet. And there is a crossover event between the Crescent City Series and the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series at the end of book 2, House of Sky and Breath. It is a cliffhanger that will have to wait until book 3 is published in January 2024, House of Flame and Shadow.

In book 7, Kingdom of Ash, there is an occurrence of crossing worlds that connects to book 4, A ​Court of Silver Flames. In book 2, House of Sky and Breath, there is an occurrence of crossing worlds that connects to A ​Court of Silver Flames. (Well, most likely it connects to the next book in the series, which some say is also due to be published in January 2024.) The first occurrence is more subtle, but it is best to read the Throne of Glass Series before reading the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series. And then read the Crescent City Series last.

A Court of ?.?.?.? <-- Will most likely include the crossing between worlds event #2 from House of Sky and Breath. Publication date believed to be January 2024.


#3: Crescent City Series

House of Earth and Blood
House of Sky and Breath <-- Crossing between worlds event # 2. (Crossover between worlds event #2 occurs after A ​Court of Silver Flames. Most likely event #2 will occur in the next book in the A Court of Thorns and Roses Series. Supposedly it will be published in January 2024. )

House of Flame and Shadow <-- Will most likely continue the crossover event from book 2. This book is announced to be published in January 2024.
