Patricia Arquette Doesn't Want Emmy Prize 9/16/05
Actress Patricia Arquettee is keeping her fingers crossed she doesn't win an Emmy Award on Sunday (16SEP05) - because she hates making thank you speeches.
The quirky True Romance star, who is nominated as a Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her hit US show Medium, hopes she isn't called up onstage at Sunday's (18SEP05) prize giving because she fears she'll upset family and friends by forgetting to thank them.
She says, "I don't think I'm gonna win. I think I'm a longshot... God forbid I did win, all the people will be mad at me for not saying thank you to them.
"I'll be relieved if I don't win. I'll be like, 'No one can be mad at me.
Hooray!' I'll jump up and down if I don't win... I'm not really a competitive person
