Great episode ( as usual ) A bit shocking to find out that it was Locke who hit Sayid over the head while trying to transmit. Why he did that ?I couldnt hear ( understand ) or understand . Shannon was a bit too much I mean she didnt show that much feeling towards Boone before , and now she wants to kill Locke Sawyer ( my hero ) was hilarious ;D the only one who could calm the kid Edited to correct name

Locke and Sayid:Sayid was trying to triangulate the distress signal that kept playing over and over. Locke said the people who initiated that distress signal have been dead for years, killed by the mysterious thing on the island, and he didn't want any of their group following the signal and suffering the same fate as the group who initiated the distress signal. They had only been on the island a short while and all anyone could think about was how to get off the island, and people would not have thought (or known?) about the danger awaiting them at the source of the distress signal. Locke said the reason why he knocked Sayid out was to prevent them from following the signal to its source and being killed. Now that people are aware of the danger, he said he figured it was now safe to tell Sayid the truth. Whether that is really the truth remains to be seen. Shannon:Shannon told Sayid that Boone was in love with her, and we saw in past episodes that Boone was her knight in shining armor who always came to her rescue. Boone was also her step-brother, and she probably took him for granted. As the saying goes, you never know what you've got til it's gone. What probably added to her already deep loss is the fact that she took Boone for granted and never let him know how much he meant to her, maybe as a brother, or maybe she was in love with him too. She probably even went so far as to push him away because she didn't want, or was afraid of having, "that kind" of relationship with her step-brother either despite, or after a realization from, their little romp together; so it might not be that she took him for granted after all, but rather didn't show her true feelings. So now Boone is gone, and the last thing Shannon ever said to him was probably mean or apathetic, and it's been a long time (or never) since she told him how much he matters to her. This was my reaction to how Shannon is "dealing" with Boone's death. The baby whisperer:Yes, the person who calmed the baby was hilarious, and I'm sure you meant to say it was Sawyer. Maybe the baby could sense how caring Sawyer really is and wanted to bond with him to get him out of his shell. After all, there must be something special about this baby, otherwise Ethan wouldn't have been so determined to either kill it or raise it, I'm not sure which. The thing that made the Sawyer/baby situation so funny for me is the fact that he's so determined to make people think he's a real badass, I believe to cover up how sensitive he really is, yet he took the time to calm the baby, all the while pretending he could care less about the baby and just wanted to get away from it. If he really wanted to get away from the crying baby, he could have simply taken off running from Charlie and hid somewhere. And those glasses were some great icing on the cake! Who would have thought that Sawyer would be the comic relief for this otherwise serious episode.
