Someone's Dying (But not Really) on 'Veronica Mars'

Someone's going to die on "Veronica Mars" this week. But it won't stick. In the latest example of TV networks trying to draw viewers to shows with extra content online, UPN will post an alternate ending to Wednesday's (Nov. 30) "Veronica" on AOL.com after the episode airs, along with the televised ending to the show. Viewers will be able to see the two conclusions for a week and vote on their favorites.
The episode features Veronica (Kristen Bell) stumbling across her AWOL mother's high-school transcript. She discovers her mom was suspended from school "for reasons that cause Veronica to further question everything she knows about her mom." "How I Met Your Mother" star Alyson Hannigan also reprises her role as Logan's (Jason Dohring) sister Trina and crosses paths with her former "Buffy" co-star, Charisma Carpenter.
The alternate ending will include the murder of a "familiar character," UPN says. The death won't, however, be part of the continuity of future episodes. Results of the fan voting on the two endings will be revealed Dec. 7 on AOL and during the broadcast of the next "Veronica Mars" episode.
