This is one of the best episodes ever. I just loved it.

As much as I loved Friend In Need (yes, I'm one of the oddballs who loved it despite it leaving me a total emotional trainwreck), this would have been the perfect series finale. Many Happy Returns and Soul Possession could have been aired earlier, and Friend In Need could have been a dream sequence. This episode had it all in multitudes and lended an open doorway for a movie (hint) or a spin-off series like Gabrielle:Warrior Bard (bigger hint).

I loved this episode. It shows that we truly control our own lives, not the fates. No matter what was done to the fates loom, people still followed the paths they were meant to follow. Everyone will live up to their best destiny, or as in the case of Caesar down to. Xena and Gabrielle were always meant to be together, Caesar was always meant to be killed by someone he trusted and Alti will always be in it for the power it can bring her, she cares about no one but herself. I loved seeing that Joxer could have been much more than he was, even if that was to be a Roman guard. I did wonder what happened to the other gods in this episode. Apparently the Twilight of the gods still came despite Eve's not being born. At least I assume that she wasn't born. It would have been interesting to see what other things were changed.
